(Some swearing)

(Ashlyn POV)

I was rushing down to the cafeteria. It was about to be lunch. Of all the days I chose not to wear a hoodie to school, why did it have to be this one?

I realized that I'd have to sit next to Aiden at lunch. What if I just ignore him? But I was still blushing like crazy and the others would surely notice. They didn't see, did they?

I got my food and sat down, luckily I got there before Aiden. Before everyone actually. Where were they? Aiden got here, but with no one else. He sat in his usual spot, which just HAD to be next to me. His face was still really red, too. We both looked away from each other. Everyone else had finally arrived. They all looked really awkward, mostly staring at me and Aiden. They saw what happened, didn't they?

My waist was still tingling, it felt like Aiden's hand was still on it. I moved my hand and it accidentally touched Aiden's. What was this, some cringy romantic movie? Anyway, I quickly removed it. Again, it had to be me ending the awkwardness.

"So-um. What'd you guys do today?"

Taylor swallowed real hard. "I-um. I had a mechanics meeting.."

Thank goodness, something off the topic.

"Oh, and how'd that go, Tay?"

"Good. Yeah, good. It was good. (cough)"

"So how was it, Ashlyn?" Tyler asked.

I looked up at him. "How was what..?"

Tyler looked at me, then looked at Aiden, raising an eyebrow. Taylor examined Tyler and elbowed him.

"Tyler!" she yelled.

Aiden was covering his face, trying to eat in peace. I feel you bro.

But what would my answer to Tyler's question be? Did I like it? It was kind of nice. But I don't like Aiden. Still, that was such an interesting feeling. It was so awkward. If my parents found out, they would've gone bonkers, freaking out that their "baby girl" had her first kiss.

Why did part of me want to answer Tyler's question? There was no stopping what I did.

"Um. It was...nice."

WHAT THE FUCK? HAD I GONE INSANE? WHAT PART OF ME WOULD HAVE EVER DONE THAT?

Everyone stared at me and dropped their jaws, Aiden slammed his face on the table like 3 times. I covered my mouth. Was I mentally ok??? What in the world made me say that?! I slapped my forehead.

As I was walking in my dads car, I saw Aiden getting in his driver's car, looking at me. He smiled at me and waved. I waved back, with a tiny smile. It felt very weird, sitting in my dad's jeep having literally no idea what to talk about. He had no clue of what happened today. Well, what am I supposed to do? Say, "I love you dad! School was great! Oh, by the way, I had my first kiss today! (SMILE)"?

"So, how was school, trooper?"

"It was good."

"Are you-um-are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine! Why do you ask?"

"Your face is a little...red."

I opened the sun blocker and looked in the mirror. HOLY SHIT. My whole face was beaming red. How do I stop blushing? I looked ILL. I covered my face with my hands. He looked concerned for me.

"Hey, trooper, if there's anything wrong, you know you can tell me, right?"

"You're right. I-um...well I sort of had my..first k-"

"WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING?"

"AHHH!"

"CAN'T THEY SEE THE CAR DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM?"

I sighed. He scared the fuck out of me.

"Sorry, trooper. Were you saying something?"

"No..it's nothing."
