It was Wednesday and I was getting ready for my dance competition. I got a lot of notifications and decided to finally check my phone. Aiden was texting me non-stop, asking me when the competition was. I completely forgot they wanted to watch it. I told them the time and after a while they all came over. We got in my dad's jeep and he drove us there. They all looked around in awe. It's just an entry-way, I don't see why they are so interested. I started to walk towards the changing rooms when I felt someone grab my hand. I turned around and saw Aiden.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"I need to change," I replied, "You can wait in the audience."
"Okay, Ashy." He said, smiling. I kissed him lightly on the cheek and left. As I was getting ready, I felt nervous knowing all my friends would be there to watch me. They never have before. It was almost my turn and I looked lightly behind the curtain and saw Aiden talking with Ben while they were waiting. I smiled as I saw his genuinely excited face. It was my turn and I got on stage and did my routine. The results for the winners would be in two days so I'd have to wait. I changed back into my normal clothes and walked back to the front.
"Ash, that was so good!" Said Aiden after I held his hand.
"He's right, you did great!" Said Taylor. Ben gave me a smile and a thumbs up.
"Yeah, you're really good, Ashlyn." Said Logan.
"It was alright." Said Tyler. I rolled my eyes.
"Thank you." I said, like I always do.
Aiden was holding my hand and we got in my dad's car. I was still holding Aiden's hand in the car and I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Aww." Said Taylor. Shortly after, I closed my eyes.
(Aiden POV)
We had pulled into the driveway of Ash's house and I tapped her shoulder. As much as I didn't want to wake her up, I still had to go home.
"Ashy," I said, lightly, "I have to go."
She slightly opened her eyes and noticed people exiting the car.
"Aww, ok." She said.
I smiled. God, she's so cute.
"Goodnight, Aiden."
"Goodnight, Ashy."
I left the car and saw Ash's dad glaring at me. Well, that's extremely awkward.
"Uh-thanks for the ride, Mr. Banner." I said, trying to end the awkwardness. He just nodded and left. Ash got out of the car after and waved to me. I waved back. Me and Ben walked home.
I'm happy you're dating Ashlyn, you two are cute together. Signed Ben.
"Thanks, Ben." I replied.
The next morning, I got up and ran downstairs as I rushed to feed the cats before I left for school, forgetting about breakfast. Although I was surprised to see my mom actually there, both my parents are usually at work.
"What are you doing at home?" I asked.
"I'm sick today," she replied, "What's got you in such a rush?"
"I'm just excited to see Ashy-Ashlyn."
"You mean your girlfriend?" She said, grinning. I blushed a bit.
"Mhm.."
"Have a good day, honey." She laughed.
When I got to school, I found Ash sitting by the front doors on a bench. Not only that but she was wearing my hoodie. She wore my hoodie to school.
