(Kind of short chapter/minor swearing)
Insomnia: Lack of sleep
Logan and Tyler both slept on the couch, Ben and Taylor on the ground along with me and Aiden. I forgot my dads orders to sleep next to Taylor and I slept next to Aiden. He won't even know, though.
"Goodnight guys!" Said Taylor. Everyone said goodnight. I tried my best to fall asleep but I couldn't. I usually fall asleep really quick so it was weird. But it was probably because I was still scared. Watching that movie wasn't such a good idea, I think. I eventually fell asleep but it didn't feel long. I had nightmares, I hoped I wasn't shaking in my sleep. I opened my eyes slightly and I was facing Aiden's side. But Aiden wasn't there. I looked around and didn't see him anywhere. Right, Aiden has insomnia. I forgot about that. I searched the whole house but I couldn't find him. I noticed Rose and Carrot sleeping, but Loki wasn't there. I opened the front door, just to check. I found Aiden sitting there with Loki laying on his lap.
"Aiden?" I said. He turned around.
"What are you doing out here?" I ask, shivering.
"I'm just getting some fresh air," he replied, "Why aren't you asleep?"
"I..I couldn't. The truth is..I don't like horror movies and they give me nightmares."
I don't know why I told him but it felt right.
"I asked you if you wanted to watch it."
"I know..I didn't want to seem like a wuss."
"You're not a wuss. I'm sorry you had to watch the movie."
I smiled and he did back. I sat next to him, shivering. Even with the thick hoodie on, I still had a huge sensitivity to the cold. He noticed me shivering and wrapped his arm around me. It felt better. We sat out there a while and watched the night. Loki got up and stretched big, which scared the fuck out of me.
"Maybe we should go back to sleep, Loki looks tired and so do you." He said.
"Okay..wait, Aiden," I replied, "I think we should tell our parents about us."
"Does that mean it's official? That we're dating, I mean?" He asked.
"Yeah, I guess it does."
"Sure, we can tell them tomorrow." He said, smiling. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. I kissed him back.
We went back inside, quietly to not wake the others. We laid back down by the couch and I wrapped my arms around Aiden and laid my head on his chest. I felt him playing with my hair. Loki was lying next to me. Aiden's heart beat was calm and soothing and soon enough, I dozed off to sleep.
Maybe it was a good idea to watch that movie.
