(Ashlyn POV)

I was texting the group chat, we were about to see each other in the phantom dimension. But it's not that bad there, as long as we're protected by the light on the graveyard's perimeter, we'd be safe. It was gonna be awkward but I was actually kind of excited to see Aiden. I guess that means I've fallen in love with him. Yay. What do I do with love? I'm still getting used to the whole friends thing after 16 years of loneliness. But now I'm in love? Am I supposed to tell my parents first? My friends? Why is it so complicated? I was gonna tell Aiden he forgot his hoodie. But saying that in front of everyone would be kind of weird. I'd tell him in private when I get the chance.

It was 11:58, two minutes until midnight. Hanging out with those dorks every night is actually pretty fun. I had my shift and opened my eyes to myself on a bus seat. I looked around and saw everyone else there, too. Taylor waved at me. I waved back. I saw Aiden laying in front of me. Taylor had a huge smile on her face when she looked at us. I had actually smiled at Aiden. What an interesting feeling.

(Aiden POV)

It felt really different. When Ash smiled at me. She almost never does that. She has a really pretty smile. I smiled back. I don't think Ash would bring up the hoodie in front of everyone so I just can't get alone with her. I can't say she can keep it because I'll seem desperate. Ben looks like he really wants to know what happened when he left Ash's house.

(Ashlyn POV)

Taylor pulled me away and out of the bus. We sat next to it. What was she gonna do? Is she gonna bring up me and Aiden?

"So what happened when Ben left?" she said, with obvious excitement on her face.

"Ben told you?" I asked. She nodded at me, still smiling like crazy.

"Tell me everything."

I sighed. Is this what other girls do? Talk with their friends about boys? Feels weird.

"Fine. Basically, Aiden was stroking my hair and he said he wanted to talk to me about something-"

"Hold on! He was stroking your hair?"

"Yes, he plays with my hair all the time."

"True. Continue."

"Anyways, Ben wrote in his notebook that he can leave if we want and blah blah then he left and whatever."

"So now you and Aiden are alone in your room together, and he's still stroking your hair?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"So, then he apologized for..kissing me. And I said it's okay, then I basically, in a way, told him I think about us kissing a lot and-"

"WAIT WHAT?"

"(COUGH) Anyways...he smiled at me and told me he likes that I handle situations well or something and then..well.."

"And then..what?"
"I..grabbedhishoodieandkissedhimthenhekissedmeback..?"

Taylor went completely silent for like 10 seconds. Well that was interesting. Then she screamed happily, she promised she wouldn't tell anyone until I was ready, and we went back in the bus, blah blah, we had fun for seven hours, blah, blah, we had our shifts, blah, blah, I woke up in my bed. But I never got to tell Aiden about the hoodie. He wasn't alone at all that night. He basically followed Tyler everywhere. I'm pretty sure it was ticking Tyler off a lot, poor guy.
