Chapter 8

"Hey, you ready?" Jaehyun says leaning against the wall
"Yeah" replies Minsoo, fiddling with the corner of his phone case
"Let's go get tickets, which game you wanna play first?"
"What about the basket ball one"
"Ha, sure, but imma beat you at that one" jaehyun says laughing
"We'll see about that" They head to the basket ball game
"On three. One two three!" Minsoo says as they start trowing the balls in the basket to score points
"I won!" Jaehyun says proudly
"Hah, and I was sure I was gonna beat you" he replied grinning
"Imma beat you at every game from now on"
"Sure, let's go to the claw machine" Minsoo suggested
"These are always impossible but ok" he muttered walking towards the claw machines with him
"Which one do you wanna try"
"The one with the little teddies" he says pointing at it
"Sure" jaehyun says watching Minsoo try to win a little teddy bear 'he looks so cute trying to win a little teddy bear, imma take a picture, just to..make fun of him later, yeah' he thinks quietly taking a picture of Minsoo so he doesn't notice
"I won something!" Minsoo says looking proud of himself
"What is it"
"It's yours, it's a little cute corcodile, it looks like you" Minsoo says laughing and giving the little crocodile to jaehyun
"Oh really?" Jaehyun says taking the tiny crocodile, giggling
"Let's go to the video games next" he says pointing with the tiny cute crocodile 🐊
"Hell yeah". They run to the vide game part of the arcade , playing some more games, at which jaehyun won most, and Minsoo didn't mind at all, actually, he loved how proud jaehyun looked each time he won a game.
"Why are you always staring at me like that?" Says jaehyun staring back at him
"You just looked ugly"
"Ha, I was trying to look like you, anyway it's getting late, wanna go back?"asks jaehyun
"That comebacks getting old, think better, yeah let's go"
"my house is this way" jaehyun points towards a tree line street
"Mine too, Just a little further away"
"Cool then, let's go" they walk out of the arcane
"What was your favourite game?" Minsoo asks as they're walking
"The claw machine, what about you"
"The basketball game, and all the other video games, exept the one with the dungeons"
"What? But I've won all of those, exept the dungeons one"
"..."he tries to think of something but he can't 'I never noticed how fast time passed by when I'm busy proving that I'm better than jaehyun, wish I could spend some more time......so I could tell him how stupid he is, yeah"
"Minsoo! What are you doing you accidentally cut yourself against the fence, lemme see" jaehyun says pulling Minsoo's arm
"Oh god it's bleeding, wait a second I got something in my bag" he says , burrying his face in his bag, half searching for the plaster and ointment he had half to hide how red his ears were. "Found it." He says grabbing his arm , and gently applying ointment on it
'His ears are red again, and I feel like my hearts gonna explode, I hope he can't hear it too' Minsoo thinks staring at jaehyun
'I feel like my face is on fire, but...why can I hear his heart beat faster? maybe I just scared him' jaehyun thinks while putting a plaster on his arm
"All done! Don't get hurt from now on ok?" He says trying to hide how nervous he felt all of a sudden, not noticing how red Minsoo's ears are.
"Thanks, promise"
"Oh, I'm altmost home, want me to walk you?" Asks jaehyun
"No it's ok, thanks tho"
"Yeah sure, no problem, uh bye! See you tomorrow at school!"
"Good bye!"
Jaehyun arrives home while Minsoo walks a few more minutes to his
'Oh god, I hope he didn't notice how nervous I was. Why am I like this, just like , a month ago I hated him so much, what happened. Why was my face burning like that, and I felt like my heart was gonna give up on me at some point... maybe he....but that's impossible, he said he hated me like a month ago, but at the same time, so did I....I'll just go to sleep, I'm sure I just surprised him, and I...was just scared that's all, yeah'

Minsoo arrives home, finally.
"Where were you?" Asks his sister while doing the dishes.
"At the arcane. Why?"
"You never go out, who with ?"
"Just a classmate"
"Not a friend?"
"..." 'what are we? Just a month ago we'd avoid each other as much as possible , we'd swear each other out all the time, and now, we hang out , still swear at each other but, it doesn't feel like hatred at all... actually, kind of the opposite'
"Maybe a friend, idk"
"Why's your face red? OHH it's a girl isn't it? What's her name? How much do you like her? It's my job as your older sister to know"
"ME? RED? Youre crazy"
"Sure"
" He's not a girl, as I said just a classmate" he says annoyed "And I don't like him, how about you get back to doing the dishes? Why would I like him? He's an idiot" he muttered
"Alright then, go to sleep it's late, tomorrow we're going to grandmas house. Right after class"
"Do I have to go?"
"I know you don't like it but she's not in a very good condition, we need to at least see how she's doing, and dad already told her we're going"
"Alright" he says, heading to his room .
