Chapter 12

Back to the present
Minsoo buries his face in his arms, trying to breathe properly, trying to find something to calm him down, wanting to scream after his sister but he couldn't find his voice. He felt as if the room was getting smaller, as if he was drowning in air, he felt like he couldn't get enough. He attempted to grab his bag, to look for something to distract him, but his arms wouldn't listen, he reached in his pocket, just holding onto the fabric tightly, accidentally grabbing the little paper bunny jaehyun made him. He looked at it, forgetting slowly of everything as he laughs softly at the messege written on it. He holds onto it, slowly trying to bring his breathing back to normal, basically dragging himself out of the room, not looking back he grabs his bag and kind of runs to his sisters room, putting his stuff down, he doesn't need to give an explanation, she puts a blanket on the old couch in her room, making sure he falls asleep before she does, which took a while but they both fell asleep, Minsoo still holding onto the little paper bunny in his sleep.

The morning after
"Morning" says Minsoo's sister walking into the kitchen, yawning.
"Good morning, did Minsoo not sleep in his room last night?" Asks the dad worried
"Yeah, he's ok now, but I don't think we should stay too long here"
"You're right, im sorry, I was just worried about your grandma, ik I said I wouldn't bring you here again, lets leave in 2 days ok?"
"It's ok, I'll pack my bags later" she said sitting down to eat breakfast.
"By the way where's Minsoo?"
"He's in the garden, just looking at the flowers" she replies pointing towards the window.
"Oh, alright, tell him to pack his bags after you're done, I'll go check up on your grandma" he says leaving
"Alright"

Jaehyuns pov
"Hey Minsoo ain't coming to school today either?" Asks Ryung sitting next to jaehyun, doodling on his books
"No, he's at his grandmas house" he replies scrolling on his phone
"Since when are you two this close?" He rests his head on his desk, looking at jaehyun
"What? No we're not, why would you think that?"
"Have you seen the way you two act around each other? He might just be closer to you than me at this point, and that better not be the case!" He nudged him with his elbow laughing
"No! We're not even friends. He's just an idiot I happen to be sitting next to"
"Sure, if you weren't straight ppl might have even thought you had a crush on him but whatever you say"
"WHAT? Shut up! How could you say that, that's not the case at all" he says looking everywhere but at Ryung, fiddling with the pencil he's holding
"Keep your voice down, the teacher may not be here but we're still in the middle of class, and o didn't say you actually like him ofc"
"Shut up" jaehyun starts scrolling on his phone again, while Ryung keeps on doodling, hoping the teacher doesn't show up to class at all.
'God I'll have to sit next to this idiot all week, how did I put up with this before? I miss passing little notes to Minsoo in class says now much of an idiot he is just to see his face reading that' he giggles, making Ryung suspicious, but he doesn't think much about it . 'Ha..what am I even supposed to do right now, it's so boring'
Class passes, jaehyun keeps on doodling, waiting for next class to start
"Bro, did you do the homework?" Asks Ryung looking frantically trough his backpack
"No, ofc I didn't, this is the first time I'm hearing we had homework for today, why didn't you tell me, god, what homework did we even have?" He says unbothered
"Idk man, I just accidentally overheard those guys talking abt the homework for this class"
"Oh well, I'm pretty sure the teacher won't even look at it, let's just say we forgot it at home"
"Both of us somehow forgot it at home? Not believable at all but works for me. Sure. Also why are you so bored today, you're usually not this bored" he asks waving a pen around
"Idk, it's just super boring today"
"I mean, you ain't wrong" he trows the pen he was holding at him.
"That's hurt" he says laughing at Ryung face after he trows it back

After class, they both headed home
'I wonder what Minsoo's doing, he's probably studying as he usually does, ha.. I need to teach him how to have fun once in a while. It's been so boring today, I wish I could see his face when he hears about the test coming up next week, he's either gonna be shocked or super confident about how well he knows the materials only to be surprised to see he got most of them wrong' he thinks walking home, giggling to himself.
