" Kaisi baat? " She whispered the question lingering back to the land of insecurity.
He looked ahead taking a deep breath and mustered courage for himself to let out the words. He could no longer let her live in the false illusion. She deserves to know everything, his every concern, every thought, every perception like an open book.
" Jab tum hospital me thi to Naina bhabhi ne tumhare heavy periods ka kaaran bataya tha . Tumhare andar nutrition ki kami thi "
It was understandable to her that her lack of nutrition is the cause of her illness. She fell sick a lot of years in her childhood and recovered too without any medication, they healed on their own. What is confusing her that... how it's related to them being close? "
" Jaanti hun.... Bohot baar daant khayi hai khane ko lekar, sehat ko lekar... par aap yeh sab kyun bol rahe hai? "
" Ek aur baat thi jo unhone mujhe batayi "
" Kya? " She waited eagerly.
" Tumhari pregnancy "
She felt her heartbeat stop at the word.
" Tumhari pregnancy mein complications ho sakti hai ya conceive karne mein problem . Main nahi chahta tha ki tumhe koi bhi takleef ho. "
He waited for her to answer and when he listened to it he was truly shocked to the core.
" Hum dusra baccha nahi karenge"
He opened his mouth to say something but her next words stole his voice away.
" Main bhi nahi chahti Aarav ko koi bhi kami ho pyaar mein . Shayad humara baccha hone par uske liye pyaar bat jaata aur aisa hone se acha hai hum apn-"
She stopped rambling when she felt him turning her towards him, pinching her chin between his fingers. He knew her eyes were already glistening when he mentioned about pregnancy.
" Bhagwan ke chamatkar par shak karlena par khud ke pyaar par nahi. Tumhare andar itna pyaar bhara hua hai ki bhagwan bhi sharma jaye. "
One drop of tear cascaded down her cheek but he quickly wiped it using his thumb and held her face in his both hands.
" Main...mera sirf yahi matlab tha Bondita ki main tumhe takleef nahi dena chahta aur. Par main yeh bhi jaanta hu ki tumhare mann me kai armaan hai bacche ko lekar...iss liye maine decide Kiya tha ki hum ek saal baad try karenge. Woh dawaiya , khana peena tumhari sehat ye sab theek hone ke baad. Taaki tumhe koi takleef naa ho aage jaakar. "
He smiled and wounded his arms around her waist and urged her to come forward, sit on his lap. She went too ...like a baby who needs consolation. Wrapping her legs around his waist she took a sit on his crossed legs and hid herself in his neck while he drew small circles on her back, squeezing her to himself.
it was his fear speaking again , the fear of loosing her clouded his judgement yet once again but somewhere he was right also, he would loose himself in a heartbeat rather than loosing her but he can't see her sad anymore . He took a deep breath , sighing in her neck , inhaling her fresh sandalwood scent that he missed so desperately he quietly peppered kisses on her neck .
" hum kal doctor ke paas chalenge . "
She suddenly looked up startled .
he nodded smiling .
" kal chalenge , aur consult karenge tumhaare liye kya sahi hai ya nahi . medicines to tum leti hi ho , diet bhi thik thak hi hai bas thodi jaankaari aur saavdhaani ...fir kya , tum jitne chaho utne honeymoon par chalenge , aur football , hocket ya cricket jo bhi team tumhe banani ho banayenge ...ab khush "
