"A mother's love is strong, that she will always forget about herself to take care of her family and deteriorate, because to a true mother family comes first"
Samantha woke up sometime during the night, the room itself was quiet besides the sounds of little breaths, she struggled to open her eyes but when she could open them, she saw both her kids, on either side sleeping.
She smiled as she breathed deep as her hands traveled up to her kids back, but something did not feel right to her as she sat up and felt each of their foreheads before almost ripping the IV from her and spammed pressed the nurse's button.
Sitting up straight as the pain in her chest which was a still a dull ache as she ripped the blankets off herself and her children before starting with Charls and removing his clothing while calling to Charmaine to wake her up, her children was burning and deep in slumber and once again Samantha started to panic.
The nurse however rushed in at the first sound of the buzzer and switched on the lights to see her patients breathing had shallowed her hand bleeding where the drip was while carrying her youngest child into the bathroom where the sound of water could be heard all the while ripping the clothes of her daughter.
"Samantha, you need to calm down, your heart is already weak—"
"Please!" said Samantha with panic in her eyes but her voice strong than it had been moments ago "they are burning and won't wake up!"
The nurse followed Samantha into the bathroom to her Charmaine head on wet pillows keeping her from going down and soaked towels over her as the water was slowly streaming in, Samantha then did the same to her son, and turned the faucet off, what the nurse saw had her turn back to the room and search until she found what she was looking for, coming back into the bathroom, She saw Samantha unwrap two suppositories one for each child as the packet laid by her feet "empaded" as she gently turned each child over and inserted the medication in their rectum.
The nurse walked forward urgency now needed as Samantha complexation one a glimmer of pale now also blue from the lack of oxygen and placed the thermometer to Charls who was the nearest and it screamed, the nurse was stunned quickly gently pushed Samantha aside to check her daughter and again the machine screamed.
Seeing no other choice the nurse raced out and pressed the button on the outside and alarms blared screaming 'code blue'.
Samantha's vision started swimming as she willed herself to hold on the pain in her chest was excruciating but for her kids she needed to hold on as a team now swarmed her soaked children taking them from the cold embrace of the water and placing them on a bed before hurrying out of her room, Samantha made to follow but her arm was held and she laughed to herself.
"Please, I need to see them" said Samantha pleaded weakly.
"Let us first stabilize you first" said the nurse as she almost carried Samantha to her bed, reset the drip and bag and then as Samantha watched injected at least two syringes full of something into her bag and then an oxygen mask was placed on her face.
"Name?" asked Samantha unable to read her nameplate as her vision swam
"Heather" said the nurse then looked at Samantha who was staring at the bag.
"Don't worry, I am not adding the one the puts you to sleep, it is dangerous now" said Heather as a porter came in with a wheelchair fitted with a tank and a stand for the IV, "We need to keep you awake this is Frank he is going to keep a close eye on you and take you to your kids"
Samantha nodded and saw Heather wanted to ask something, so she put her hand on Heather as she and Frank tried to move her to the wheelchair and then nodded.
