"Come on Ominis! Tell me more about her!" Sebastian insisted.

Ominis crossed his arms.
"There isn't much to tell, Sebastian. We were friends as children, our families knew each other, and now, many years later, we're acquaintances at best," he said coldly, hating Sebastian's insistence on the girl.

"And why did she join Hogwarts now? Where was she when you two hadn't seen each other in years?" Sebastian continued his interrogation.

Ominis rolled his eyes even though Sebastian couldn't see it.
"I don't know, Sebastian. I assume her parents felt it was important that their daughter was sent to the most prestigious witch and wizarding school in Britain. She said she had been in France. It's not exactly a rare occasion that wizards send their children to be educated elsewhere before their fifth year."

"There will definitely be something more behind that." Sebastian said.

Ominis frowned at Sebastian's comment.*
"Why do you care? It's not like you'll ever be friends with her." *The last thing he wanted was for Sebastian to get close to Elisse.

"You know me, Ominis." Sebastian grinned. "You know very well what my intentions are." he added with a devilish look.

Ominis clenched his teeth in annoyance. He knew Sebastian's intentions. He always had a new girl every few months. But the thought of Sebastian spending time with Elisse made him feel... uncomfortable... almost as if he was jealous.
"Yes, I know far too well," he said coldly, his voice almost biting.

"What's wrong Ominis?" Sebastian asked with a raised eyebrow.

Ominis clenched his jaw, frustrated that Sebastian was able to pick up on his irritation.

"I don't like you pursuing Elisse," he said bluntly, his voice quiet and intense.

"What's your problem?" Sebastian asked, crossing his arms over his chest. "You never cared before when I went after other girl."

Ominis took a step forward, his fists clenched at his sides.

"Because those other girls weren't important. But Elisse... she's different," he protested heatedly.

"You feel like you have to protect her because you've known each other since childhood. I feel the same way with Anne. I see how she goes after you and it annoys me a little, but I don't make a big deal out of it like you do." Sebastian retorted. "Look, you haven't seen each other in years, right? So you don't have to feel responsible for her."

Ominis' anger flared at Sebastian's words.

"It's not the same situation! Elisse is fragile, she deserves better than your lecherous stares. You don't know the things I know about her, Sebastian," he retorted, his voice getting louder with each word.

"So you know something more! I knew it! Spill it!" Sebastian insisted.

Ominis paused for a moment, biting his lip. He didn't want to share personal information about Elisse, but Sebastian was like a dog with a bone. He wouldn't give up until he got what he wanted.

"Fine... but this is in confidence," *he whispered, leaning closer to Sebastian so that no one else could overhear them.*
Sebastian leaned in and waited with bated breath to hear what he would hear.

Ominis glanced around once more to make sure no one was listening before continuing, his voice still low and harsh.

"Have you ever noticed Elisse's forearms?" he asked suddenly, knowing that the sight of the scars on her arms would be obvious even to Sebastian. They were hard to overlook.

"I was really interested in other parts of her body." Sebastian grinned, but immediately became serious: "How did she get those scars?"

Ominis resisted the urge to punch Sebastian in the face. The thought of him ogling Elisse irritated him to no end.

"They're not from an accident or anything like that." He paused, weighing his next words. "They're self-inflicted."

"You know what's bothering her? Why does she self-harm?" he asked confused.

Ominis' expression darkened. He knew only the surface of Elisse's struggles, but he knew they had started when she was young.

"I know her parents aren't... the kindest. I don't have all the details, but they're the cause of her scars," he replied quietly, his voice laced with a hint of bitterness.

"That girl needs someone to comfort her", Sebastian said and added confidently: "I'm sure I can relax her a bit."

Ominis gritted his teeth in irritation at Sebastian's confidence. He could easily imagine what "comfort" meant in Sebastian's vocabulary.

"Oh yes, I'm sure you would "comfort" her very well. In the short-term, at least," he said sarcastically.

"Come on Ominis. A little fun never killed anyone." Sebastian snapped. "Let's find the girls, I have an idea." and quickly peeled away from the wall.

Ominis sighed heavily, feeling a headache coming on. He knew trying to stop Sebastian when he had an idea in his head was like banging your head against a wall.

"Fine," he said, reluctantly following Sebastian.
