Elisse and Ominis apparated in front of the Gaunt mansion.

Ominis shuddered as they approached the front door. The cold, dark energy of the place was palpable, and the memories of his childhood filled his mind.

"This place looks exactly as I perceived it without sight.
," he whispered, his voice heavy with disgust and regret, "Cold and dark—much like its occupants."

As Elisse and Ominis stood there, both of them felt a wave of anxiety at the thought of what was to come.

Ominis, although he could now see for the first time, felt more afraid and vulnerable than before, not knowing what his parents' reactions would be. Meanwhile, Elisse was also feeling restless, knowing that her actions would likely incite their wrath.

They entered the dining room where the whole family was having dinner. Everyone's attention turned to their arrival.

Ominis' heart was hammering as he took in the sight of his family for the first time. His father - a balding man in his 50s, with pale blue eyes and a permanent frown on his face. His mother, who was cold and aloof, and his older brother - Marvolo - a mean sneer permanently on his face.

"Father. Mother. Marvolo," he said, his voice firm, "I need to discuss something with you."

Ominis' mother stood up from her seat, her eyes filled with shock.
"Ominis, dear, .... your eyes!" she said in a shaky voice.

"Yes," Ominis replied, his voice calm but firm, "I can finally see. But that is not the reason I'm here today."

Marvolo, Ominis' older brother, stared at him in disbelief, his face contorted in anger.

"How is this possible?" he growled, "This cannot be!"

Ominis' father, his voice stern and demanding, spoke up.

"You said you had something to discuss. This better be important," he said, looking at Ominis with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

Ominis took a breath and said, "I've come to tell you that Elisse and I are leaving. We're done with you. Feel free to erase me from the family tree, you're only doing me a favor. Carrying the name Gaunt is a disgrace!" he finished, waiting for his family's reaction.

Ominis' words echoed through the tense silence, and his family's reactions were as expected.

His father's face turned beet red with anger, and his mother's expression hardened. Marvolo let out a scoff of disbelief.

"You can't be serious," his father said, his voice low and menacing, "You're... leaving?"
He began to a laugh devilishly.

"Ominis, you may see now, but you are still stupid!" said his father cruelly.
"You can't leave, you made an unbreakable vow!" he added, continuing to laugh.

Ominis' father's laughter suddenly stopped as Ominis rolled up his sleeve and held out his arm. The blank, unmarked skin of his forearm stared back at his father, and his expression turned a shade paler.

"What have you done?!" Ominis' father shouted, his voice echoing through the entire mansion. It was a question filled with shock and anger, but also a hint of fear.

The scene was electric with tension as Elisse stepped forward, holding the container with the curse. The room was filled with a sense of impending danger. With a flick of her wand, she extracted the dark orb from within the container, hovering it in the air in front of her.

"You thought my power would be an asset to House Gaunt," she said, her voice steady and firm, "but instead it will be your downfall." With a swift move, she directed the orb directly into Ominis' father's chest.

His face twisted into a grimace of agony as the curse took effect.

Marvolo, infuriated, drew his wand, " You will pay for this!" he shouted and fired a spell at Elisse. But his attack was completely ineffective. Elisse smiled coolly.

"I put a fuse in the curse too," she said, her smirk growing. "We're immune to you now."

She retreated back to Ominis' side, once more entwining her hand with his.

Ominis and Elisse walked away from Gaunt land, leaving his family behind in a state of shock. Ominis felt a great weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

As they moved further and further away from the estate, he squeezed Elisse's hand and said, "We did it. We're free."

A few years later.

Elisse and Ominis sat in the front yard of the house and enjoyed the sight of the children playing.
Their laughter echoed across the land.
"Elisse, love, I will forever be in your debt for all the gifts you have given me in my life. I am extremely lucky to have you." Ominis told her lovingly and kissed her hand.

Elisse smiled and said, "You pay your debts well. You are the best husband and father to our children. You take care of us with great love. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, love."

Elisse, Ominis and their two children lived in a house in the countryside.
As expected, their parents deleted them from the family tree, but that didn't bother them at all. They changed their name. Now their names were Elisse and Ominis Evans.

Their children showed no signs of magical abilities. Elissa and Ominis didn't mind at all and loved them just the way they were.

Maybe their magic will show when they are older, like it was with Elissa. Or these abilities skip several generations.

Magic has done a lot of evil in their lives and they won't mind if their children live the muggle way.

Anyway, they will have magical history written in their genes.

"Mom, dad, will the godmother and uncle come to visit today?" The children ran to them.
Ominis and Elisse smiled at each other.
"Yes, I think they will come today. They must be missing you already."

Anne Sallow became the godmother of their children and they often visited together with her brother Sebastian.

Just like in the old school days, at Hogwarts.
