When I wake up, Nate was still deeply asleep beside me. My heart skips a beat at just how beautifully in peace he looked, his hair partially over his face. I wanted to let him sleep, we'd exhausted ourselves yesterday and I wanted him to get the as much sleep as he needed.

But I can't stop myself from leaning in and pressing my lips against his slowly, softly. My mate wastes no time in kissing me back, his lips lazily caressing mine. He hums quietly before rolling over and crawling on top of me. "I can wake up to this every day" he says. A flush fills my cheeks and I wrap my arms around his neck as he hovered over me. His fingers brush my hair back from my face and he stares at me intently, "You're absolutely perfect."

I smile while rolling my eyes and play with the hair on the back of his head, "I'm not the Greek god incarnate" I counter and open my legs so he could comfortably lay between them before I wrap my legs around his hips. It was strange, this level of... intimacy that developed literally overnight. I tried not to think about it as to not ruin the moment.

We were having a moment.

Nate laughs at my comment and leans in to press another gentle kiss against my lips, one that I return with just as much gentleness as he gave. He bites my lower lip and I gasp lightly, my body reacting to every action he made. I moan against his lips and shake my head with a breathless laugh, "Will it really forever be wanting sex every minute of every day? I'm not sure my body can keep up with yours." 

Nate hums quietly before gently caressing my jaw, "I can talk to Irving. Ask for some hormone blockers until you've completely healed."

"Hormone blockers for the both of us?" I ask in surprise. Why had we not tried those earlier?

Nate shakes his head and answered my question as if he knew what I had thought, "They wouldn't have worked at all for our marking situation and we both can't take them. They'd be for you. I can control myself."

I frown in distaste at that and shake my head while leaning in to press my face against his chest. "We don't need them. We can both just try and not be horny." My cock pulsed with need at the comment and I bring his head down for a hungry kiss. "But maybe after our shower."

Nate kept his lips on mine as he picked both of us up and led us into the bathroom.

I watch as Cody prepares a sandwich, adding double meats and triple the cheese and squirting some ketchup on both sides of the bread. He smiles happily before setting the sandwich down in the middle of the plate and grabbing a water bottle. He turns to me and smiles, "I made food for Milo. Wanna come with?"

I follow him down the hall and towards the medical wing, confusion filling me. "Is he okay?"

Cody hums and nods, "He's trying to be. I tolds you my family has gone through lots. Milo was forced to take drugs. He got addicted and he's been trying his whole life to stop."

"That's awful" I say softly, and force any questions I had away once he turns towards a door.

I follow behind him awkwardly and my eyes land on Milo, who lay on the bed with a few IV's on his arm. Beside him was who I remembered to be his mate, Will. I watch their tightly intertwined hands and my own heart started aching for my mate.

Milo's eyes turn to us and he offers a tired smile, heavy circles under his eyes and his skin slightly pale. "I made a sandwich to help" Cody says.

Will thanks him and turns back to his mate, who kept his eyes on me. He coughs a bit when he tries to speak before taking a small breath and trying again, "I hope your mating is turning for the best."
