I moan in delight as his fingers trail over my shoulder and down my spine, slow and hot and gentle. They continue their path down to the dip on my lower back and he lets his fingers trail over my bare ass. He was so gentle and careful as he trailed his fingers over my body.

I was amazed at how he could switch between actions. Not long ago did he have my legs thrown over his shoulders as he savagely fucked every breath out of my body. I was also amazed that even though I was left sated and exhausted, simple contact of his fingers rose my sexual desire again.

My face presses against the pillow and I stretch my arms over my head as I fought to stay awake. "I'm starving" I mumble under my breath. "Morning sex is exhausting."

Nate chuckles from beside me and his fingers move away from my skin, leaving me secretly pouting at the loss of contact. "Get up. I know a place" he says and I hear him moving around for a shower. Despite exhaustion still coursing through my body, I push myself upright and follow him into the shower.

We definitely did more than just shower.

I was pulling my pants up my legs when my eyes fall on my body through the mirror. I pause and walk over to it, watching the faint purple bruises along my hips, some around my body. I trail my eyes up to my shoulder and stare at the smooth skin. Nate's mark had all but healed from the previous torturous pain, and while it mostly faded from my skin, Nate assured me it was definitely still there and it definitely would still be a stimulant for our daily activities.

I finally let my eyes move up to my face and have to pause at how... different I looked. It was still my face, my eyes, my mouth. I had the same hair style, although a bit longer than before, and aside from the small healing stitches on my face, I was exactly the same. But the expression on my face was... different. I looked... content. Happy even.

And it terrified me.

"I'm sorry" Nate's voice comes up from behind me. I turn around in confusion but follow his eyes to my hips. He sighs with a small shake of his head, "In the moment... we forget our strength can hurt you."

"It's okay" I promise as I buttoned my pants and reached to pull a shirt over my head. "They don't hurt at all."

"I'll be more careful" he continues, ignoring everything I'd said. "I'll have more control over us when we're with you."

I walk up to him and lightly punch his arm, "I said I'm fine. Besides," I add and take another step closer to him, making sure to get his attention by trailing my fingers over the front of his pants. "I like it when you fuck me hard."

Nate stares at me before moving yet another step closer and grabbing my hips to pull me closer, "While I enjoy fucking you, Lennox, I can also be gentle. I like to believe I can be somewhat romantic." Fear must've flashed through my face because he releases my hips and I hold my breath as he caresses my jaw, "If you'll have me."

What was he talking about? Making love? There was no way he was in love with me. I wasn't even in love with him? My mind didn't even know what to think.

I open my mouth to say something and blink rapidly when nothing comes out. "I'll wait for you, Len" Nate says as he finally releases me and moves to grab a shirt from a drawer. I stand there, stunned, for a few more seconds before turning and quietly putting on some socks and shoes.

Nate takes us to a small diner that wasn't very far from the pack house, but still within the territory. It wasn't the same one that Cody and I had gone to, but it was still quiet and warm. The young man that led us to our seats also took our order and left us alone, which I was glad for. The weather was slightly foggy today, a gloomy mood setting over outside. I made sure to keep my eyes out the window, thinking about everything's that's happened since I got here.
