After spending some time on the party ay nagpaalam na kami ni Lucius. Para ngang walang silbi ang dahilan ko kaya gusto kong magstay don, which is for Lucius to talk with other people and make connections dahil hindi siya maalis sa tabi ko. Even when some people come to talk to him mabilis niya lang itong kinakausap at sa akin naman bumabaling. I kept thinking that he is also tired of socializing, bagay na hindi malabong mangyari dahil kanina pa siya kausap nang kausap nang kung sino-sino.

"Are you tired?" Tanong niya habang tinitingnan akong humihikab.

"Yeah. It's tiring talking to a lot of people." Pag-amin ko. And I'm getting hungry again dahil bukod sa mga snacks ay tanghalian lang ang kinain ko. Hindi pa sapat 'yung serving nila para sa akin.

Mas lalo akong napagod ng makitang traffic sa daan. I know the traffic flow of some roads now during this time kaya alam kong mas traffic pa sa mga dadaanan namin. Baka abutin kami ng at least 2 hours sa byahe pag-uwi sa bahay kahit na dapat ay 30 minutes lang ito, lalo na si Lucius na sa ibang way ang daan.

"Can't we just sleep for a while? Then continue on our way when there's no traffic." Reklamo ko.

"You can sleep. Do you want me to recline your chair?"

Kaagad akong umiling. "Urgh, it'll be uncomfortable. And it's hard to sleep because the car kept shaking every time you stop."

I pouted. I know I'm being a brat. I should stop giving him problems when it is not his fault and he is also as tired as me. "Sorry. Just forget it. I'll just sleep." Sabi ko bago sumandal sa bintana at pumikit. But my head kept bumping on it kaya hindi ako makatulog.

I felt the car took a turn then stopped. Napamulat ako ng mata nang naramdaman kong pumarada ito. We are now in a parking lot. Nagtaka ako dahil ilang minuto pa lang akong nakapikit.

"Where are we?" Tanong ko.

May kinuha si Lucius sa compartment bago bumaling sa akin. "To sleep." Sabi niya bago bumaba. He went to the other side and opened the door. Siya na ang nagtanggal ng seatbelt ko bago ako inalalayang bumaba. Nagtataka man ay sumama na ako sa kanya.

We went to the lobby. Apparently, this is a hotel nearby. He paid 2 rooms. After getting the key ay pumunta na kaming elevator. Then, he led me to a door. He opened it using one of the keys and we went inside.

"We'll stay for a few hours until the traffic subsided. I'll order food. Sa katabing room lang ako. If anything happens, call my number or knock on my rom." Sabi niya habang inaabot sa akin ang susi.

I look at the key for a second before looking at his face. "Can't you just stay here with me?" Tanong ko.

I was really looking forward going out of the mansion all by myself, but now that I was given an opportunity to stay alone in a hotel room, it scares me. Ngayon ko lang narealize na ito ang unang beses na mag-iisa ako. Although I was alone in my room or some room in the house, I know I'm not really alone. Ganoon din noong nasa hospital ako because I kept hearing footsteps outside. But this...it feels different. It feels like I'll be abandoned.

"But it will be bad if someone took a picture of us and create misleading stories. Mabuti pang sa kabilang room ako magstay." Sabi niya.

"But..." I bit my lip. I shouldn't be like this. I should start standing on my own feet. I shouldn't act like a child clinging to him.

Lumapit sa akin si Lucius at hinawakan ako sa magkabilang pisngi. "Hey, hey, don't cry. I'll stay here. Shhh~~."

Napahawak ako sa damit ni Lucius and unconsciously sniffed. Hindi ko namalayang naluha na pala ako.
