Chapter 15

As soon as I locked the door of the comfort room ay kinuha ko ang aking phone mula sa bulsa. I closed the toilet lid and sat on it. I looked for Lucius' phone number and started typing a message.

To: Tesoro

They invited strippers. I thought they were dancers because they said so, but they started stripping. Sorry for looking at other men's body.

I sent it. I took a deep breathe an closed my eyes. Pero ilang segundo pa lang ang lumipas ay nakatanggap na ako ng reply.

From: Tesoro

It isn't your fault. Just enjoy your strip show.

I pouted. It seems like he isn't mad like I imagine. Well, I'm not really mad at my friends because they did that. It's some sort of a tradition for getting married, although removing the boxers is over the limit, they don't have any bad intentions. Even Pandora seems enjoying it. My problem is, my fiance might felt betrayed by that. But it seems like my worries is baseless.

I typed another message.

To: Tesoro

You aren't mad?

From: Tesoro

Why would I be?

Medyo nalungkot ako sa sinabi niya. I pouted as I typed.

To: Tesoro

I think I will be mad if you look at other girls' naked body, then compare mine to theirs. Forget it. Just enjoy your party.

I was thinking if I went overboard with my text. Did I sound some like possessive fiancee? I shouldn't have said that.

I was typing some kind of apology pero kaagad na natigil iyon nang lumabas ang isang caller name. It's Lucius and he is calling me. I contemplated for a few seconds before I answered it.

"Hey, how's your party?" Alanganing tanong ko. I can't hear any party sound on the background so I assume they are done.

There was only silence on the other line kaya napatingin ako sa screen dahil baka namatay ang tawag, but it is still on going. Muli ko itong inilapit sa aking tenga. "Hello? You still there, Tesoro?"

"What do you mean by naked?"

I almost jumped in surprise when he talked. His voice is low and sounds...dangerous. Or maybe that's just my imagination. But maybe because of that, I felt compelled to confess.

"You know, some dancers that stripped. They removed their clothing. I was not expecting that they are strippers, really. Sabi ni Olive ay dancers daw sila to entertain us. Well, they danced, but after a while they began removing their clothes." I rambled.

"So how much did they strip? They have tank tops on?" He asked. His tone isn't changing.

"Uhm, they had one but they removed it. They also had boxers on."

"They had it on? Did the girls cheered to remove it?"

"Huh? Not really. But they were screaming really loud when they removed it, specially when it tore. Seriously, are fabrics supposed to be torn like that? It's like it tore with just one pull. Why someone will wear something flimsy as that?" I laughed as I remember now fragile their clothes are. I don't do needle works, pero sa tingin ko ay hindi ganoon kahuna ang matatahi ko.

I heard nothing on the line. He became quiet again so I bit my lip. Uh, did I said something wrong?

I waited a few minutes pero wala pa rin. When I looked at my phone ay patay na pala ang tawag. Napasimangot tuloy ako. Hindi man lang nagpaalam.
