Its been forever, I know... I am so so so sorry. Tax season hit and my office went crazy. Finally, was able actually put some time into writing after a few months.

I have been planning this chapter out since I decided to continue Anna and Tyler's story. Hope I did this duo justice.

As per usual...I am imperfect and that's okay with me, however it does mean there will be errors.

The pounding on my front door, matched the pounding in my head as I sat on the floor of my bathroom trying to swallow down the bile that threatened to come up. I had been sitting on the tiled floor since the sun came up and had no interest in moving. The stomach bug had hit me suddenly a week ago and every time I was confident it was over I would wake up and it was groundhogs' day all over again.

My cellphone was ringing in tandem with the knocking on the door, but the energy I had to answer either was non-existent, so instead I leaned my head against the wall and closed my eyes, wishing for a little relief and break in the clouds that hung over me.

Somewhere in the fog of my head the knocking stopped and there was an audible click of the lock on the door being turned and the door opening. I visualized the feet coming up the stairs as I heard the steps being taken, but I made no move to get up to meet them.

"The buzzing on the floor beside you... it means someone's calling, or trying to reach you, you should answer it." Kate said bluntly as she entered the bedroom. "... you look like crap." I heard her suck in a breath, and I squinted my eyes open, to find her standing in the doorway of the bathroom.

"Jeas, thanks." I rolled my eyes and closed them again taking a deep breath, before scowling and looking up at her. "How'd you even get in the house?"

"Tyler told me where the spare was outside." Kate shrugged crouching in front of me before putting the back of her hand on my forehead.

"Tattletale." I grimaced moving my head away from her stubbornly.

"He's worried about you." Kate stated.

"I told him I was fine..."

"Yeah...You're sitting on the floor of your bathroom, very convincing."

"It's just food poisoning," I breathed out before gathering the little remaining energy I had and pushed myself off the bathroom floor. Standing, I closed my eyes, swallowing hard as my stomach tried to roll, the only relief was that there was nothing left in it to come up.

Once the feeling left, I slowly walked past Kate, ignoring her skeptical and examining eyes. Pulling back the comforter, I collapsed into the mattress. I heard Kate sigh before I felt the mattress dip slightly and her body moved behind mine. As she sat up against the headboard, her hand gently ran through my hair.

"What are you doing here, weren't you and Javi supposed to be in Texas?" I asked, my eyes still closed enjoying the feel of her fingers threading through my hair.

"We were, but the activity stopped." She explained, "and we were headed to my mom's to go over the current radar when Tyler called and said you had left their chase sick."

"I wasn't going to delay the chase any more than I already had by being sick." I defended. "Three days of waking up feeling like shit... it was taking time away from the whole point of being out there. Tornados out that way were starting to get stronger, and the small ones have only been getting bigger with less warning. If I pulled the team or Tyler away and they could have prevented the Tornado from hitting homes and towns... I wasn't going to do that." Kate hummed in response.
