Now that school was finally over, we were having that post vibe that everyone loved. Taehyung, Hoseok, and I were hanging out in my garage, chatting about our plans for the break. 

"Dude, are you ever going to shut up about that game?" I grunted, wiping my hands on a rag as I leaned under the hood of my car. I'd been meaning to get some work done on it all week, but between school and everything else, it just kept getting pushed to the back burner.

Taehyung laughed, tipping his chair back dangerously close to falling. "You know Hobi won't stop until he's converted us all. Resistance is futile."

Hoseok shot me a grin, completely ignoring my jab. "It's revolutionary. This isn't just any game. It's a whole new level. I'm telling you, by the end of the summer, you're both gonna be begging me to teach you."

"Right," I muttered, tightening a bolt. The sharp click of the wrench echoed in the garage. "Because spending my summer glued to a screen is exactly what I need."

Taehyung snorted, taking a sip from his soda. "It might keep you from obsessing over this damn car."

"You definitely don't have a social life right now, man," Hoseok chuckled, "How about something real? Like, I don't know, going ice skating? I heard there's a new rink downtown."

I was halfway listening when I spotted her. 

Jieun walked out of the house with Mina. I could see the awkwardness in her posture right away when she saw me there. It was like she was trying to look anywhere but our direction. 

Her friend was jabbering away, laughing, and gesturing as they walked, but her gaze was darting around, undoubtedly uncomfortable. I couldn't tear my eyes off her though. It was like she was the only thing in my field of vision.

Hoseok noticed them too and waved over. "Hey, girls! Wanna come ice skating with us? We're heading there tonight."

My sister hesitated, looking over at me, then at the boys. "Um, thanks, but I think I'll pass."

"Why?"

Mina chimed in, "Don't bother, guys. She has other plans."

I could see Jieun's face flush slightly, and she shot her friend a look that could've melted ice. "Mina."

"You're ditching us?" Hoseok teased. "Where are you going?"

"Nowhere," she muttered, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. "It's nothing—"

Taehyung wasn't letting up either. "Come on, Jieun! You can't just drop 'I have other plans' and not give us any details."

"It's not a big deal, okay? Can we let it go?"
