Jungkook pinched his brows, forcing himself to focus on his father's words, but his mind was miles away. He felt restless, a constant itch under his skin while his father droned on about majors and career paths when all he could think about was his sister.

For two straight hours, he absently nodded along as his dad talked, but he barely registered the words. Ever since that weekend they had spent together, they hadn't been able to do much once their parents came back. Inside his car was also not an option anymore after Taehyung.

The thrill of almost being caught lingered, but now it felt more like a burden. They had to tread carefully, and that made Jungkook feel trapped. Checking into a love hotel wasn't a possibility yet; she wasn't old enough. He had to find another way to get back at her for that little stunt she pulled at dinner.

"Jungkook!" His dad's voice cut through his thoughts. "Are you even listening?"

"Yeah, Dad, sorry," he replied, massaging his temple. "Can we wrap this up?"

The moment his father finished talking, Jungkook jumped up, his legs almost moving on their own. He needed to find her. He pictured teasing her, sneaking into her room to do the same, or maybe worse. That would be the perfect payback.

But when he reached Jieun's room, it was empty. The bed was made, and the room was too quiet. Confused, he made his way to the living room, then the kitchen, but she was nowhere to be found. Panic flared briefly in his chest. Where could she have gone?

Just then, he halted in the hallway, a thought striking him. He refused to believe she'd be in his room, but the more he thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. With a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching, he changed his path and headed toward his door.

Slowly, he turned the doorknob and pushed it open, holding his breath as he stepped inside. The sight before him made his blood pressure drop. There, in his bed, lay Jieun, but as soon as she heard the door close, she propped herself up on her elbows and smiled at him.

"Look who finally decided to show up," she teased.

He leaned against the door, crossing his arms with some semblance of calmness. "What are you doing in here?"

"Waiting for my favorite brother to return." Her tone was playful, but the way her gaze lingered on him suggested anything but. "You took long enough."

"Yeah, well, Dad doesn't just talk about majors for fun..."

"Which means you're not going to be my personal chauffeur forever?"

"I'm afraid not."

"What a shame," she pouted. "I was counting on that."
