"Bakit hindi ka pa nauuna?" I asked, holding my things tightly.

He smiled a little at umalis sa pagkakasandal. "I was waiting for you."

My heart made a quick thump. I looked at him, confused. He scratches his nape when he saw my reaction. "Your colleagues invited me to be on your area right? Na-isip ko na isa lang naman ang pupuntahan natin kaya sabay na tayo."

Ah, right. Naalala kong inaya nga siya ni Ate Bea kanina noong lunch. But he don't need to do that. Importante na kumpleto na silang miyembro doon. Tumango tango na lamang ako.

"Hindi mo na dapat ako hinintay." I showed to him that I still have my wet clothes and towels that I need to hang. "Kailangan ko pa 'tong isampay."

"Oh, samahan na kita," he suggested at balak nang kuhanin ang mga basang bimpo sa akin ngunit tinanggihan ko ito.

"Okay lang, kung gusto mauna ka na at baka malate ka pa sa activity."

I don't want to be the reason na pati siya ay malate. It's important for him to be there. Everything that happens on this trip is because of them. Nagrerecord din sila ng videos for their vlogs. He should be there now.

"Ikaw rin naman late na." he said while smirking. "Atsaka late na rin naman ako kaya susulitin ko na."

Bumuntong hininga ako. Isa pa itong makulit. "I know, pero-"

"Justin," he cutted me. "You don't have to avoid me you know that. We're friends, right?"

He said that as if he wanted to say it for a very long time.

Friends. Yeah, I did agree to become one with him. But the problem is if I could really be just friend with him.

"Or do you want to be more than that again?" he added when I didn't answer. Trying to lighten the atmosphere dahil tila bumigat ito sa sinabi niya. I don't know if he's being serious or not.

Binigay ko sa kanya 'yung mga tuwalya na hindi ko nagamit at nauna na akong maglakad papunta ng tent. I heard him chuckled and followed pero hindi ko na siya pinansin pa. I had a feeling if I said something more, our conversation will lead to a direction I don't wanna go to.

I'm trying to be a friend. Gusto ko rin na maging maayos ang relasyon namin ni Josh. I think iyon ang best na gawin para makalimutan ko ang nakaraan namin. But whenever I see him, my heart would go crazy. All our memories together will come back. And that is not a reaction you get just from a friend. Specially from your ex-boyfriend you're trying to forget.

But I have to play along so there wont be any more problem in the future.

"Where's your tent here?" tanong niya pagkadating na pagkadating namin sa camp site. Tinuro ko ang tent ko sa dulo katabi ng log.

Agad kong tinabi ang mga ginamit kong panligo sa loob ng tent. Nakita kong umupo si Josh sa log at sinimulang itupi ang mga tuyong bimpo na pinabitbit ko sa kanya kanina. Hinayaan ko na lang siya doon at nagsimula na ring isampay ang mga bimpong ginamit ko. Pati ang mga damit kong nabasa.
