Karla looked through her birth certificate and the photo album again. Her brain was confused and she tried to piece things together. Nothing was happening. Her brain only felt blank.

"I feel like I am gonna hurt myself if I keep thinking about this," she said to Gabriel who gave her a cup of coffee.

"You're still looking for your parents?" He questioned.

"I need to look for them," she admitted. "I need to know who they are. My mother has disowned me enough."

Gabriel understood and stroked her hair.

"We will continue to make research and ensure we find them. Meanwhile, I can take good care of you and probably make you mine forever," Gabriel said with a smile and pulled her lips close for a kiss. They did kiss, but that was it. She felt nothing and she deeply hated how her stomach wanted to throw up. She faked a smile and turned away from him.

"What's wrong?" He questioned.

"Nothing," she lied. "How long will it take before I find my parents?"

Gabriel sighed and turned away from her.

"Probably a week or more," he admitted. "No one is sure of who they are. It will be a bit difficult tracing people we do not know."

Karla nodded with an understanding look and placed the folders back into a box. Her mother was asleep, and the whole house was dead silent.

"Come here, my love," Gabriel wrapped his hands around her waist. "What will you do if you finally find your parents? How will you react?"

She smiled.

"To be honest, I have no idea," she admitted. "I am not so good with people so it will be kind of weird. Perhaps I will tell them how much I missed them, and what mistake they made in abandoning me."

Gabriel laughed.

"Yeah, will you move in with them?" Gabriel questioned.

"I won't," she denied with a smile. "I just want to know who they are and that's it. We could just sell the jewelry and start a life by ourselves."

Gabriel nodded and pulled her for a kiss again. She shook her head in rejection before getting up from where she stood lifting the box.

"Do you not feel anything for me anymore," he questioned.

"I...well...I just don't feel good now," she admitted before walking into the washroom.

The next few days were more like a panic attack for her. They never heard the sound of sirens, but the reports were just as scary. Everyone was looking for them. Her picture was already all over the news and she was tagged as an alleged murderer. This tore her apart and she felt misunderstood. But what could she do? Everyone did their own thing anyway.

Every night, she sat before her system, stalking Anderson's social media unconsciously. A smile came on her lips realizing he was doing fine, and nothing serious happened to him. Though he said nothing about the molest, his comments sections already had a large number of fans questioning him on where she was and when he would divorce her. Karla wasn't surprised. They all hated her and it was justified. Her eyes gazed at the diamond and she kissed it. Despite her love for it, she couldn't stop thinking about Anderson. Every night, she would feel his hands crawl up her legs, and his hands squeeze her nipple. She would feel his tongue circulate around it, and his kisses nice to her neck. She would hear his moans and his happy giggles. She missed him...she was beginning to have feelings for him. This all made no sense. That wasn't her plan at all. The more she tried to deny it, the more she could not.

"How can I love someone who will hate me so much?" She thought to herself. "How has the table suddenly turned around like this?"

As she thought about this, her hands went on her stomach and her body got goosebumps. O! God! She was beginning to fall really hard.
