The chains that held Karla down pierced her skin and she felt deeply discouraged. Her hands had hurt badly and she could barely move them anymore. She never thought Gabriel would turn out to be such a backstabber. Like! Who knew a guy she grew up with could hurt her like that? Her lips could barely speak words, and tears flooded her eyes. She was uncertain of what to say to him. Funny enough, the more she stared at him, the more she hated him. The guy just had to make her look at him differently. Karla couldn't believe she once kissed a man of such disgusting character.

"You are mine alone, Karla," Gabriel said, stroking her cheek, before sliding down to her chest. She tried fighting him off but there was no point. She was helpless.

"This is disrespectful, Gabriel!" She lashed. "I thought you hated disrespecting women."

"Well, I do," he agreed with a nod. "I won't call what I am doing presently disrespectful. You are my girlfriend after all," he smirked and sucked her lips into his. She couldn't push him off, and her sucked lips caused unnecessary saliva. She could barely feel anything romantic, and her body trembled in irritation at each pull.

"Anderson will not spare your life this time," Karla informed him. "You messed with the wrong person."

"And you think I care?" Gabriel hissed. "I am not scared of that guy. That guy already has all the good things he can get. You shouldn't be a part of that."

"I love him, Gabriel!" Karla yelled out in impatience. "He is my freaking husband!"

"Now you love him!" Gabriel hissed. "I thought you never did. You always said it was a compromise or whatever..."

"It was a compromise, but we realized our love for each other and decided to make things work out," Karla explained. "All these stupid plans aren't necessary. I am happy with the man I am with."

"No you aren't!" Gabriel snapped. "I will not let you be happy with him! He cannot have you and not me!"

"I am not a possession to be fought over!"

"You are a gem to be fought over!" Gabriel admitted. "You are a rare gem I cherish and I love! I loved you when you had no money, and I will continue to love you now that you have the cash! Your wealth is mine too!"

"So that is all you care about," Karla scoffed. "Your bank account."

"Times are tough," Gabriel rolled his eyes as his phone vibrated in his pocket. "People care about a lot of things. Money is one of them, and if I care about that, it shouldn't be a crime."

He walked out of the room banging the door behind him and picked up the call with a frown.

"Yea?" He said with a cold tone. The number that called was a strange number he had never seen.

"I know Karla is with you," a female voice said, causing his heart to skip a bit. This all made no sense and his anxiety skyrocketed to the roof. He turned to his men who were now on high alert.

"Who are you?" He questioned.

"See me as your biggest fan," the lady answered with a smile. "I know how much you love Karla, and I can assure you that I love her husband the same way. We can be of help to each other."

"Are you Anderson's ex?" Gabriel asked with surprise. "How the hell did you get my contact?"

"The rich always find their way...somehow," Bella said with a smirk. "My name is Bella, I am an ex to Anderson as you said. I heard Karla had gone missing for a few hours and I want to see her personally."

"What makes you think that I took her?" Gabriel asked. "She must have gone out or something. The day isn't over yet. You all are just troubling yourselves for nothing...."

"Trust me," Bella smiled. "I have a better plan to get you and her far away from here. The police are after you for sure, especially after eloping with her and her mother. They found weapons on you too, and you conspired with her to steal a valuable necklace. You aren't scotfree Gabriel."

Gabriel was silent for a while before he signaled his men that all was fine. They placed down their weapons.

"So what do you want from me?" Gabriel asked Bella who smirked.

"Send me the address of where you are and I will come and see her myself," Bella requested.

"You must be crazy for you to think I will trust you that easily," Gabriel hissed. "Meet me at a restaurant close to Rimo park."

"You are the criminal who needs help, not me. It should be my rules we should follow. Any more authoritative tone from you will lead to this call hanging up," Gabriel frowned.

"Fine," Gabriel agreed. "I will give you the address then, but make sure you come alone. Do not come with anyone else."

Karla nodded with agreement and hung up the call. Her phone was pressed against her chest as she ran her hand down her hair.

"Bingo," she said to herself with a smirk.

"What did he say?" Anderson's voice asked from behind. She turned sharply behind her, and handed him back the phone.

"He fell for it," she said, slipping her hands in her pocket. "He promised to send the address and I guess that's where Karla is. It is funny how he admitted to taking her even though we just guessed that she is missing."

"He isn't the brightest," Karla said hurrying back into his room to get his coat. The phone beeped ok his hands and they both nodded.

"It's here," they said together.

"We need to hurry to the car and get to the address."

"I...I won't be going with you," Bella rejected.

"Why? You agreed to help me..."

"I know but this is your love story," she explained. "This is your fight. I do not want to meddle in it."

Anderson nodded with a smile before continuing his journey down the stairs. Soon he was out, banging the door shut.

Bell sighed and leaned against the wall deep in thought.
