Karla stood before the office in her suite waiting patiently. The employees gazed at her in surprise wondering what was wrong. Though she knew she had to be sent to jail for alleged assault, the huge news about Mr and Mrs Stone's daughter placed that on hold. Everyone wanted to know what was wrong. What's she really their child? Could there be truth in the allegations?

With the proven DNA test from Mrs Stone's old hairnet which had a strand of hair on it, the lawyer marched in while she followed. Everyone watched with their arms folded. They stood before the conference room which Karla recognized immediately and smiled. This was exactly how Anderson introduced her for the first time. At that time, it was as an assistant. But this time, she was the freaking owner of the company. Not just the company, every freaking possession those wealthy Billionaires had. Anderson was left with nothing except an old tardy yacht written in his name at a portion of the will. The yacht itself was nowhere to be seen.

"As we all there, there will be a change in the way this company operates," the lawyer said as they both stood before the board of directors. Anderson was seated at the other end of the table fuming. He looked very mad at her, and one could tell that he hated her so much. "For years, we all thought Anderson Stone was the real son of the Stones. It turns out that he is not. He is a son of one of their maids instead."

Everyone exclaimed in shock, and there were side conversations.

"But that's not all," the lawyer wasn't finished. "The alleged daughter of the maid, turns out to be the true owner of this company. This means every authority and ownership will be handed over to Mrs Karla Stone and not Anderson Stone."

"But they are both married, right?" Someone said from the crowd. "Can they not split their ownership? I mean if Karla turned out to be the true owner, she can give half of the company to her husband right?"

The others agreed.

"That's true," the lawyer agreed. "But it is for her to decide. We will need to make the choice if she will love to share or hold on to it."

Everyone's gaze went to Karla who had a straight look on her face. Her straight look turned to a smirk, and she walked closer to the board with a crafty look.

"As the true owner of this company, why will I share?" She questioned before laughing maniacally. "I am not sharing one penny with Anderson Stone. He can still replace the manager and help with the affairs of the office, but I am giving him nothing."

The murmuring began again and everyone turned to Anderson with pity. Anderson felt deeply embarrassed. He covered his face in shame.

"That's all," she turned away from him and walked back to the front. "Everyone dismiss. This meeting is over."

Everyone left swiftly, still gossiping about what just happened.

"You need to be careful with the use of your power, Karla," the Lawyer warned. "Do not misuse it?"

"I would never," Karla said. "I love my responsibilities so much to do such a thing."

At the saying of those words, Anderson clapped for her with an angry look. The lawyer excused himself and left. Karla understood his sentiments.

"Look, Anderson...I am sorry...okay?" She apologized. "I know things didn't go the way it ought to. I understand that I disappointed you, but you need to understand that I am as shocked as you are myself. I didn't realize all this until now."

"You are very smart, Karla. You are just too smart. You are indeed a chess player. You know every freaking thing you are doing," Anderson said to her with an unbelievable look.

Karla gazed into his eyes for a while, before bursting out into laughter.

"You got it so quickly," she confessed. "This is exactly why I love you. You are really intuitive, hih," Sh pulled him close to check his bandage, but he backed away from her.

"Don't you dare touch me!" He warned. "I am not interested in your stupid games anymore."

"Alright!" She slapped her waist. "You got me! I agree that I pretended all this while."

She turned away from him and walked to the window.

"I knew your parents were dead, I knew my mother was the one who set your house ablaze, I knew you weren't a Stone, I knew I was adopted, I knew all this from the very start. I knew all these before we even crossed paths. My mother was careless. Since she started to abuse me, I did my research. I wanted to know who I was, and why my mother hated me so much. It was then I saw the baby picture and went to the orphanage. This happened when I was 18 years old. I discovered who I was and was clueless of what to do. You were very famous then, and I knew I couldn't come into your life so easily. That's why I had to play the victim! I had to make you love him! I had to make it so confusing for you and everyone. I had to use everyone for my own benefit. And now that it worked, I feel very happy," Karla turned to him with a smile. "I knew you all along Anderson Stone."

Anderson was mind blown.

"Wow..."

"I am sorry for being a good actress. I am just too good at throwing people off..."

"So, you pretended to feel bad for me when I took you to the cemetery," he asked with hurt.

"I did feel bad for you," she confessed. "In fact, I feel bad for you in every way. I am not happy to see you hurt like this, but what has to be done has to be done."

"You are just as heartless as I assumed," he hissed.

She arched her brows and cleared his throat.

"Look, I am not in the mood for sentiments," she confessed. "Withdraw the case against me and my mother, and I will give you half of the compensation back. I will make sure it is the one you manage very well."

"I will rather die," he hissed before walked out and slamming the door behind him. Karla rolled her eyes with a hiss.

"I will convince you somehow," she thought to herself.
