Hold me

I woke up the next morning to Steve's hand on my shoulder, lightly shaking me awake as my brows furrowed and I opened my eyes, looking up at him in the bright lighting of the room I fell asleep in.

"Hey," he smiled softly, "you're both pretty knocked out."

I sat up slowly and looked over at Rebeka who was asleep on the floor next to me but on her side of the cell, my neck cracking as I stretched it out.

"What time is it?" I asked him.

"10am," he laughed out his nose, "you nearly gave me a heart attack when you weren't in your room this morning."

I smiled slightly and stood up with the help of Steve's hand before I pulled down my hoodie and looked down at Rebeka looking as peaceful as she could possible get given the circumstances.

"Breakfast?" he asked me.

I nodded, giving her one last look before I followed him out of the room and back into the elevator.

"What time did you go down there?" he pushed curiously.

"1 or 2 this morning," I yawned, "I couldn't sleep in bed."

"Because the cold concrete floor is significantly comfier," he smirked slightly.

"I don't like the thought of her down here on her own," I shrugged.

"Me either but you know it would be the same case if it were Bucky," he reminded me.

I nodded, "she told me she doesn't want to go back to Hydra last night."

"Really?" he asked, a wash of relief in his voice.

I hummed and nodded again, "she's promised me she'll try and eat properly too but you need to tell Stark to be gentle on her, she's been through so much more than she's even conscious of. He'll listen to you, he won't listen to me."

Steve nodded slowly, "leave it with me, I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you," I smiled softly as the elevator opened and the sound of Wanda's laugh from the kitchen echoed through the halls.

"She got back 20 minutes ago," he smiled back, pushing me off into her direction as I tried not to run to meet her.

When I turned the corner into the kitchen, her and Sam were telling a very tired Bruce, Nat and a much too eager Vision about their mission. A smile crept onto my lips as I walked toward them and Nat nodded in my direction. Wanda turned her head, still dressed in her tight suit and beamed brightly at me before running over and jumping into my arms as I giggled. With her legs wrapped around my waist and my hands resting on her bum, I hugged her close until she pulled away and cupped my cheeks, kissing my lips firmly as if she had never kissed me before. Smiling against her lips, I slid my tongue against hers and let out sigh heavily between us before Nat wolf whistled in our direction.

Wanda giggled as I dropped her back to the floor and cupped her cheek, giving her a final long and firm kiss before she wrapped her arm around my waist and led me toward the kitchen island where the rest of the team (who were awake) were having breakfast. Nat was dressed in gym gear and had clearly been awake for a while while Bruce looked wired on caffeine in his lab coat, drinking coffee like it was water as Vision stood in a shirt and jeans, eyeing Wanda much too frequently for my liking. Sam and Wanda remained in their suits from the mission but Sam's wings were sat in the middle of the kitchen island.

"I missed you," I told Wanda, kissing the side of her head as I whispered in her ear.

She giggled and cupped my cheek to kiss me again, leaving a few pecks before searching my eyes and kissing me once more.
