Wanda's POV
I sat in the lounge with the rest of the team, all of us still in our suits from the mission early this morning, as Wong and Strange stood in front of us as if we were in a presentation at school. The entire team was here for the first time in a very very long time so I knew this was bad, there was no way this was going to be good for anyone. Nat was sitting to my left, holding my hand tightly as my leg jumped up and down anxiously with no idea where my girlfriend had gone nor what she had done in the past few hours. Beka was on the other side of me with Bucky behind her, Steve to his side and Sam next to him. Sat on the other side of Nat were Clint, Stark and Bruce. Thor was standing behind the couch alongside Vision and Rhody with Maria and Fury in the corner of the room as Peter sat on the floor by our feet, all of us silent with eyes on the front of the room.
"The Violet Witch," Wong started as my heart rose to my throat.
"She has a name," I exhaled, cutting him off before he even began.
"Y/N," Strange nodded, "she's been corrupted, she's not the person you all know."
"When someone reads the Darkhold, it changes them," Wong agreed, "she is completely unaware of what is her and what is the book, she's lost and as of this morning, a massive threat."
"The Violet Witch is a being born from ancient magic, her strength is drawn from the fabric of reality itself, and her mastery over the multiverse is unparalleled ... she's prophecised to rule the cosmos from the stance of the sorcerer supreme," Strange informed us all.
"That's you, right?" Thor asked.
Strange nodded, "she came to me this morning after the time stone."
"The Time Stone? What's that?" Fury added.
Strange exhaled sharply and moved his hands around to open the pendant around his neck, pulling the stone out and holding it above his hand, not touching it with his skin.
"One of the six infinity stones," he told us all, "the remnant of a singularity that predated the universe, its the most important and vital element of time ... if she gets hold of this, she will have an unmatched level of power over this and every universe."
"She needs help," I spoke up again.
"She needs stopping," Wong confirmed.
"Wanda," Nat sighed, squeezing my hand with sad eyes, "I don't know how much of her is left."
"I don't care," I frowned, "she's my girlfriend, we need to help her, she's not the enemy."
"It's our job to stop her," Steve smiled sadly, "none of us want to hurt her but if she's wielding this much power, force might be needed."
"She's always been powerful," Beka mumbled.
"And now she's dangerous too," Wong nodded, "she's realised the full extent of her powers, she knows she can warp minds and perceptions by changing the very fabric of reality. With the time stone, she will transcend the need to call on cosmic energy, she will drain and manipulate forces, directly making her the only witch capable of turning their own magic against them."
"So what do we do?" Stark asked carefully.
"We can't hurt her," I replied, shaking my head, and looking around at the team's sad eyes, "I won't let you."
"She needs to be stopped," Strange told us, "she means to kill me, she wants the stone and she knows the only way to get it is if I die ... I don't relish in hurting anyone, especially someone as troubled as she is but something needs to be done, she needs to be stopped."
