As the party drew to a close and all that was left was the team, we all sat around the glass table in the main room, laughing at stupid stories with a slight drunken gaze over most of our eyes. I was sat on the same couch as Steve with my legs spread, leaning backward against the back of the couch as Wanda sat between my legs with her knees up and her fingers playing with mine which hung over her shoulders. Nat was sat on Maria's lap, her legs dangled over the agents with her arms wrapped around her neck. Thor, Stark, Pepper and Bruce all sat on the adjacent couch as Vision took the arm rest and Sam spread himself out over the single love seat with Rhodey stood giving us some dramatic display of a story.

"So I take the tank, fly it right up to the General's palace, drop it at his feet, I'm like, 'Boom! You looking for this?'" He finished proudly as we all gave him a sort of blank look, "'Boom! Are you looking...' Why do I even talk to you guys? Everywhere else that story kills."

"That's the whole story?" Thor asked him.

"Yeah," he replied sadly with a shrug, "it's the war machine story."

"Oh then it's very good," Thor smiled assuringly, sipping his beer.

"Well it's less genuine now," Rhodey sighed.

"Can we go back to Thors hammer now?" Clint asked, nodding to mjolnir on the table, "it's a trick, it must be."

Thor shook his head, "it's much more than that."

"Whatever man, it's a trick," Clint laughed out his nose, sipping his own beer with a shake of his head.

"Be my guest," Thor smiled, motioning toward it.

"This'll be brilliant," I smirked.

"I've seen this kind of thing before," Clint lied, standing up and wrapping his hand around the handle as he tried to lift it, his face turning purple until he finally let go, "I just don't get it," he gave up, sitting back down.

"Can you smell the silent judgement?" Stark teased with a smile.

"Go on then Tony," I raised my brows.

"Oh here we go," Nat sighed.

He laughed slightly and stood up, wrapping his own arm around the handle and looking around at the team, "it's simple physics," he said.

"Physics, yeah?" Bruce asked.

"If I lift it, I then rule Asgard?" Stark asked Thor who nodded unconvincingly.

We all sat in silence for a good 15 seconds before I sat forward and furrowed my brows.

"Are you even pulling?" I questioned.

"I'm trying," he heaved, finally letting go, "whatever, it's a trick."

He sat down with a huff as Pepper patted him on the shoulder with an amused smile. Bruce went next and failed miserably, his arms looking like they've had better days.

"Go on Steve," Thor encouraged as Steve stood up and looked down at the hammer before grabbing it and shifting it ever so slightly, all of us on the edge of our seat as Thors eyes grew worried until he finally let go and shook his head.

"Nothing," Steve shrugged.

"Maximoff?" Stark asked.

"Oh no I'll leave the grunting and embarrassment up to the men," she smiled back sarcastically before looking back up at me, "babe?"

"That's not a question I need answered," I laughed out my nose, shaking my head slowly.

"It's clearly rigged," Stark declared.
