I have learned the lesson
Of all that's foul and fair
Our love was forged in fire
Water, earth, and air
The spell is cast, how long it lasts
I cannot divine
The road is there
And so I dare
To risk this heart of mine

"This is so stupid," I exhaled, holding the book in front of me as I stood on my own singing in my bedroom, dressed in the suit Stark had just fixed up again.

Down, down, down the road
Down the witches' road
Follow me, my friend
To glory at the end

I tried ever so hard to not laugh at myself as I sang until a wooden door opened on the floor underneath me.

"What the fuck," I whispered as the doors opened, "god what am I doing."

I looked around me at my empty bedroom and let out a shaky breath, beginning to descend the stairs as Rebeka walked into my room and without any word to me, walked down into the new hole in the floor dressed in her own Avengers suit.

"Beka?" I checked.

"Come on then," she sighed as I ran after her and the door locked behind me, the two of us settling on a dark purple coloured road littered with leaves.

"What is going on?" I asked, grabbing her hand as she raised her brows.

"You think I'm letting you do this on your own? I could feel the shift in energy, we're doing this together," she replied, "take your shoes off."

"What?"

"Your shoes, take them off - it's disrespectful to wear your shoes here," she explained, slipping off her boots as I did the same.

"How do you know so much-"

"I read a lot Y/N/N, I don't care if you think you can do it on your own, we're doing this together."

"I just want-"

"To change the prophecy, I know," she nodded.

"I'm not letting you get hurt for the sake of my own will," I argued.

"You'll die if you do this on your own," she bit back, "I'm not letting you die, not when I can help you."

I hummed like I was unsure but she raised her brows and shook her head slowly.

"Come on then," she encouraged, walking along the road.

"Where are we and how did we get here?" I asked, following her with the book in my hand.

"We're on the Witches Road, I didn't think it existed but we're here," she exhaled, "you opened the doorway so you clearly knew what you were doing."

"I couldn't sit back and not do anything," I replied slowly.

"I know, I'd probably do the same if I were you but I should make you aware that this is a one way road, there's no turning back and there's no backing out so make sure you're in it for the right reasons," she quipped, tucking her hair behind her ear, "are you?"

"I am," I nodded slowly, "I know that the thing at the end is dangerous but I'll be careful."

"You're strong, I know you'll do what's right," she replied softly, "your will is almost as strong as your mind, it's borderline impossible to get here without a coven but you did it ... if anyone's strong enough to wield the Darkhold, it's you."
