Over the next 5 days all I heard from Kayleigh was all about R5. And Riker. She made me teach her as many songs as possible before the show. We had R5 going day and night. But time was up...

She was waiting for me downstairs while I got ready. I could hear her pacing back and forth across the hard wood flooring all the way upstairs. I laughed and finished putting my make-up on. I was going light tonight. When I finally got down the stairs, she looked like she was a 4-year-old waiting for mom and dad to open presents on Christmas morning.

"It's about time." she said already walking toward the door. I walked into dads office where he was still busy at work. He took on a small project while the group did a few shows. I told him to take a break, but he said breaks made him think of mom too much.

"We are heading out dad." I said as I walked into the room. "Do you need anything while I'm out?"

"No, you girls go have fun, and be careful." He smiled and I could see he missed having them around too. They were entertaining to be around.

"We will, love you dad." I said as I walked out of the room. Kayleigh was already outside standing at the car waiting for me. I unlocked the doors and she jumped in getting more anxious by the second.

"You know you don't get to meet Riker until after the show, right?" I ask her when I am in and starting the car. There's that impatient look again.

"Um, yeah. Let's just go." I laugh as I put the car in drive.

When we got to the theater, she jumps out of the car and tries to get herself together. The line at the door was building by the second. We needed to get in line quickly. As we walk toward the door, my phone rings. I look at the unfamiliar number for a second. I hesitantly answer it.

Kayleigh is getting frustrated because I'm chatting on the phone when all she wants to do is meet Riker. Once I get off of the phone, I tell her to follow me. She looks confused when we get to the side of the theater. In a jacket sitting inside a large golf cart, I see Ross waiting for me. Kayleigh goes nuts, about to jump in the cart until I grab her shirt. She calms down instantly.

"Hey you," I say as we walk closer to where Ross is waiting for us. "This is so against the rules, isn't it?"

"I called the door men when I got off the phone with you, so it's all good." He smiles as we jump into the cart. Clever, he had a one row seater. I scoot close to him so Kayleigh can climb on. "You must be Katleigh. Nice to meet you."

She smiled, and started shaking again like she did on the way here. "She's cool. But warning, make sure Riker isn't alone when she meets him. She hasn't shut up about meeting him since I gave her the ticket and band."

He smiled and started driving the cart. This theater was huge. Or he was going slow. I took advantage of the longer than necessary drive. I pulled my hands apart and put my left hand around his elbow. He turned toward me and smiled. Yes, I felt complete again. At that moment I was hoping this ride would last forever, just as much as the other night.
