After finishing getting cleaned up, I went down the hallway. I went to offer Rydel help, while the guys hung in the living room. "I wish you weren't leaving today," she sighed and hugged me, "it's been nice not being the only girl here."

Yeah, I could tell her. "I'm actually going to call dad when he lands this afternoon and let him know I'm staying tonight. I spent a whole day sick, so I'm making up for it." She actually looked like she was going to scream.

I told her to not tell anyone else, because I wasn't totally sure. I wanted to go see dad if I could borrow Ross' car. I did miss him. When breakfast was ready, I went to get the boys. Ross and Riker were busy playing, I had to send Rydel in to break them up. By the time they came into the dining area, everyone was already grabbing food. Ross sat down next to me, and Riker took the last seat. Apparently when Ryland was in, everyone sat down for breakfast.

Ryland was leaving soon, so everyone was hanging out today. Even I could tell he didn't want to leave. He was planning on taking the last room when he moved it. It already was his room when he came and stayed for the weekends. I had today, hopefully, with the guys and Rydel. I could live with being away from dad for one more night, or rather him without me. I never wanted to leave. The guys kept planning the day, while me and Rydel planned a shopping trip next week.

I was really going to miss being here with them for sure. After breakfast, the guys went back to playing their game, while my and Rydel cleaned up. I didn't pay mind to the fact that Ross hadn't spoken to me since he left the bedroom this morning. I knew he was getting the last few hours with his little brother.

"So what are you doing today?" I asked her while I rinsed dishes and she put them into the dishwasher.

She grinned, "I don't know yet. Probably work on a few songs. Rocky is working on writing a few right now, I may help him." She looked up at me with pouty eyes, "why don't you help?" I nod my head in disagreement. "Okay, it was worth a try."

When we are done, she heads out to the garage where Rocky is already at. I follow her out, but remind her again that I wasn't helping. I spend a few minutes looking at all the instruments. She and Rocky get right to work. I sit down and watch. How I wish I could put another meaning toward music. It would be great. I wish I could be up singing with her.

After an hour of watching, they take a break. Rocky was going to spend some time with Ryland before he leaves, and Rydel was playing on keys. I watched her play around, and it was all laughs. We started singing in squeaky voices and I think she even did chipmunk Alvin. It was really funny. Between Ross and Rydel, even a little Riker, I didn't want to leave.

"Do you ever get nervous singing?" I ask her when we quiet down and sit for a drink. "I mean, before performing?"

She moved next to me and put her hand on my knee. "Yes Sweety. Nearly every time." She turned around and looked at the door, than turned back to me, "Ross was scared for a long time to sing and perform. It was always a fight."

"Really?" I looked at her surprised. "He doesn't seem like it."

She laughed. "It's been a long time now, but it did happen. We got where we are from bribing him to get on stage." She laughed again. "It is quite funny to think back on. It wasn't than though."

I think for a minute. "But I can't even sing in front of you guys." I look down at my feet. "That's pretty bad. I should be able to, not like I just met you. That's nothing like performing in front of many people."

"Honey, stop beating yourself up. You don't have to."

I look over at her. "I want to though. I love singing. And I want to have another meaning to music than my mother." A tear escapes. "I just miss her so much."

She wipes the tear away. "Well, when another meaning comes along, that will change." She wraps me into a big hug. "Trust me."

We sat talking for a few more minutes. I told her about my mother what I didn't tell her the other day. We laughed and cried together. It was great having a girl friend. We chatted until the garage door opened. Ryland, Ross and Ellington walked in.

"I found them," Ryland said as he walked. Ross came next to me, Ellington on Rydel's other side. "I have to go sis. I'll see you next Friday." Rydel got up and gave Ryland a hug they said good byes. I leaned against Ross, and he put his arm around me. Ryland came and sat down in Rydel's seat next to me. "It was really nice to meet. I hope to see you next weekend."

He leans in to give me a hug. He really was sweet. "Call it a date. And I won't be sick next time hopefully." We laugh, than so does everyone else in the room.

"Deal." He stands back up, and turns around to face everyone. "See you guys later." And walks back through the door. Ross looks down at me and smiles as I snuggle back into his arms.

Rydel winks at me, and follows Ryland, Ellington following her. One second, everyone is talking, next second it's silent. I'm in Ross' arms, in my safe haven again. "So you're coming back next weekend?"

"If you want me too." I grin and push him back on the couch. I lay my chin on his chest we smile at eachother for a few seconds.

"Of course," he says. "But I got a question. Did you tell your dad you were staying tonight?" I frown. Although I was an adult, he didn't want me to grow up. Ross sits forward and stands up, reaching for my hand. "Come on, I need to talk to him anyway."
