After Ross comes back to the living room, I go get cleaned up. I take a nice long shower, and it feels great. I get out, and get dressed quick. If I lied to dad for him not getting mad at me, I was going to enjoy the rest of my evening. It was only 8, so too early for bed, so I went back into the living room. Ross is blocked on both sides, and caught up in video games with Ellington and Riker. I look for Rydel, but she's not here.

I walk back through the hallway and I see her door cracked and the light is on. I knock three times lightly. "Come in." I creep the door open, and I don't see her. She peeks out from around the closet door. "Hey, get in here. I said come in." She laughed and I joined in as I walked in, putting the door back where it was. I go sit on the chair next to her closet as I watch her organize her already clean closet.

After watching her for a few minutes, I get curious. "Not clean enough?" I tease her. She turns toward me with a laugh. I find it amusing how obsessed she is with fashion. I never have been, but I guess that will change now. She was who could help me, but how to ask. I just decide to come out with it. "Can I talk to you for a sec."

She stops what she's doing and comes and sits in the chair next to me. "Of course sweetie. You should have said something and I would have came over here instead of obsessing." She pointed toward her closet, "that's hard work."

Perfect, she started the conversation. "That's actually what I want to talk to you about." I grin innocently. "I need help."

She laughs. "Want my advice?" I nod. "I wouldn't change much. You're naturally beautiful, and that's a big perk. You don't need much makeup."

"So what should I change?" I ask her.

She thinks for a second. "Maybe wardrobe some, but not much. Ross fell in love with you, when you were you. In pjs if I recall correctly." We both smile together as I recall the first time I met him. "Get what I'm saying? Where casual when you aren't doing something. When you go to an event," she runs back to her closet, " stick with something like these." She holds up two light dresses. "Or for a casual event, go with a nice pair of jeans." She smiles and goes back into her bedroom sized closet to hang the dresses back up.

I hesitate to ask her about the rest of what I came to her about. "Another thing," I swallow deeply, "I discovered I'm a little camera shy today. Well, many cameras shy." I shiver as I recall it again. "I was even shaking. Ross noticed."

He smiles inspiringly. "Honey, that happens to us all, unless it doesn't bother you at all. Don't worry. That will pass." She smiles brighter at the introduction to the conversation. I could tell she was hoping I would open it. "How was it though, telling the world my brother belonged to you?"

I smiled, than lost it. "Well, it was great for the first part. You know, camera phones and social media." I frown some, "but when big cameras, nearly thirty of them, questions coming from all directions, and sixty some people crowded, than it got harder."

"Yeah, that is still harder with us. Did you not look at Ross?" She stuck her hand out for mine. I leaned forward and accepted the offer.

"Yeah, but I wasn't paying much attention though. My mind was kind of going crazy." I take my other hand and slap my forehead. She laughs.

"Well, we all still go crazy over that. I remember when this all started for us. It scared me. I'm guessing it did you too?" I smiled at her. "That doesn't last. Soon you will be an expert. And you got my brother who is t going to let it go too far. And you know that."

She's right. "Okay. And it was scary. A little. I just didn't want to admit it. You guys are so used to it." I look down. "I guess I just thought it was different for you guys."

She laughs. "Well, Riker was an exception. He loved it from the start. The attention, girls, all going crazy over him." She laughed at memories playing back in her head. "We were all nervous, and he would just run up and share everything."

"So I guess I shouldn't talk to him than?"

"Well that's up to you. Maybe he can help, but it might just be dirt for him to use." She turned her head slightly raising her eye brow.

"Well, we made a deal. He wouldn't pick until I got used to the attention. He would give it a few months before he starts it." I get serious, "but I get what you're saying. It is Riker." We both laugh.

"If you ever need anything, let me know. I'm always here." She pats the top of my hand. "I need to go to the garage for a few minutes, wanna join me?" I nod, and she lets go of my hand and he head out. She goes to the keyboard, and starts pressing keys. I watch until I get distracted.
