The loud, persistent ring made him stirr , he then blinked awake as the ring only got louder , there was a dull ache in his neck. It took him a moment to remember where he was. His head was resting weirdly against the sofa, his hand was across over his chest.

Then he felt her weight on his lap and looked down. Her head was resting there, her hair was tangled. He breath got cought as he realized how close they were. He could have spent hours looking at her but the ring made her frown too.

"Who is it,where is the phone ... and whats the time?" He thought and looked around and finally located her phone,he then carefully picked it up,
The screen flashed with the name "Laxmi masi." .

"Shit... Shehnaaz wake up" he called her and she stirred, then her eyelids flustered open. For a second, confusion clouded her,he was looking at her,his messy hair coverd his forehead, he looked devine and she was sure that she was dreaming a beautiful dream. She smiled and then closed her eyes again " get up Shehnaaz" he called her again, she opened her eyes and then a soft blush spread across her cheeks as she saw him.

"Your phone" he said and then she realized where was she.

"I am so sorry," she murmured, quickly sitting up, her hand went to her hair in a futile attempt to smooth it.

"Shehnaaz... your....It's Laxmi masi. She is probably wondering where you are."he cleared his throat and said.

"Oh no is it morning already, I was supposed to go back last night...".She winced, biting her lip.

"Kya bolun Laxmi Masi ko! How do I explain this? she mumbled.

"Tell her you went up to the terrace for a walk," he suggested.

"Nightdress main?" She asked.

"Just pick up and say something,"he,urged .

"Beta,ho kahan aap?" Laxmi panicked.

"Kya hua Laxmi masi? All well?" She asked.

"Kuch nahin ,aap kahan gaye subhe subhe...abhi woh coffee dene aayi main aur aap nahin ho" she said.

"Woh..main terrace... terrace pe hoon" she fumbled but them managed to lie.

"Acha... kitne baje gaye aap, 5 baje se main uthi hui hoon" she asked next.

"Woh... main... I didn't see the time... aa rahi hoon 10 mins main." She said and quickly disconnected.

"10 mins, just 10 minutes... what should I tell her in these 10 minutes... "he was uncertain. They had talked for hours last night. She had told him countless stories about her school days, her favorite teachers, the friends she had lost touch with. He had shared about his dreams, his passion for his EV project. They had laughed, teased, and spoken softly and they couldn't recall when they had drifted into sleep.

There were still many unspoken things lay between them, the serious ones, the important ones.He still didn't know why she listened to him, opened up in his company, She was still clueless why he lied to Sameera.

"shall I make breakfast?" he asked softly.

"No please don't bother,I guess I should get going," she said reluctantly.

"Arey... but you said 10 minutes," he mumbled rubbing his neck, wincing slightly as it had gotten stiff due to the odd posture.

"Dard ho raha hai?" she asked softly and her brows got knitted in concern.

"No, no... I mean, a little bit," he admitted, "It'll be fine."he added.

"I am sorry. My head was on the cushion... I don't know when I shifted to... your... lap," she murmured and was unsure how to say goodbye after such an intimate night of conversation.
