After storming out of the company, Chan didn't waste time. He knew Liliana had nowhere to go, and he wasn't about to let her struggle alone.

He spent hours searching online for apartments close to the company, filtering out anything that didn't meet his standards. She deserved something safe, comfortable, and fully furnished-somewhere she could feel at home.

Finally, he found the perfect place.

A modern, cozy one-bedroom apartment in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. The building had 24/7 security, a gym, and even a rooftop garden. The apartment itself had a sleek, minimalistic design with warm wood finishes and soft lighting. The living room had a plush L-shaped couch, a TV mounted on the wall, and large windows that let in natural light. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the bedroom had a king-sized bed with soft linen sheets.

He called the landlord, paid for the deposit and six months' rent upfront, and arranged for fresh groceries to be delivered before Liliana arrived.

He wanted everything to be perfect.

When Chan arrived at the hospital to pick up Liliana, he was surprised to see her room crowded with familiar faces.

Mariah was the first to notice him. Her eyes widened, and she practically ran over.

"Chan!" She gripped his arms, scanning his face. "Are you okay?"

"I should be asking you guys that," he muttered.

Mariah frowned. "We weren't allowed to leave the dorms all day yesterday. The company locked us inside, told us nothing, and we couldn't even reach Liliana. We were going crazy."

Chan exhaled sharply. "Figures. They love controlling everything."

Mariah's expression darkened. "We only found out what happened this morning. How Chloe kidnapped you, how Liliana was fired... and now, our debut is delayed because they need to find two new members to replace Chloe and Liliana."

Luana scoffed from the bed where she was sitting. "It's bullshit."

Eliška sighed. "This is unfair. Liliana worked so hard."

Mariah looked Chan in the eyes, determined. "You have to do something. You can't let them erase her like this. She can't leave in shame."

Chan ran a hand through his hair. "I know." His voice was laced with frustration. "Just... calm down. I've got this."

Mariah wasn't satisfied with that answer, but before she could press him further, he turned toward Liliana.

She was sitting at the edge of the bed, already dressed and waiting, her fingers playing with the hem of her sweater. She looked up at him, her eyes glassy with unshed tears.

"Hi," she greeted weakly.

Chan didn't say anything. He just crossed the room in three steps and pulled her into a tight embrace.

That was all it took. Liliana broke down, her shoulders shaking as she sobbed into his chest.

Chan held her tighter, resting his chin on the top of her head. "It's okay, Jangmi," he murmured. "You're not alone. I won't let them take everything from you."
