"Cut!" Director Chen announced. "That's a wrap!"

As soon as his words fell, a round of cheers erupted on set.

Ye Zexi immediately shook off the emotions from the scene, wiping away the prop blood and tears from his face. He turned to Tang Jing and said, "Congratulations on wrapping up!"

"Congrats! Congrats on finishing!" The surrounding crew members also gathered around to congratulate Tang Jing.

"Congratulations!"

"Happy wrap!"

The crew, who had prepared flowers and a cake in advance, seized the moment and rolled out the cake cart.

Tang Jing stood there, clutching the bouquet someone had shoved into his arms, looking dazed. His face still carried traces of the sorrow from the scene, and for a while, he couldn't snap out of it.

Seeing him like this, Ye Zexi knew Tang Jing was still stuck in character. He walked over and lightly patted Tang Jing's shoulder. "It's over! You've wrapped up!"

Hearing the words, "It's over," Tang Jing seemed to wake up from a dream. The grief that had clouded his face gradually faded, leaving only confusion. The cheers around him grew louder, and after a full two seconds, Tang Jing fully came to his senses.

When he looked up, his eyes were filled with tears.

Before Ye Zexi could even react, he felt arms wrap around his neck, and Tang Jing buried his head in Ye Zexi's shoulder. Hot tears began to fall, one after another.

Tang Jing cried.

Even he didn't understand why he was crying so hard.

During the shoot, no matter how oppressive it had felt, Tang Jing had held back his tears. But now that the scene was done, he found himself crying uncontrollably, completely losing his composure.

Seeing the scene unfold, the crew tried to step in and pull them apart.

But Tang Jing, for some inexplicable reason, held on to Ye Zexi even tighter, wailing and refusing to let go.

Ye Zexi was genuinely stunned.

He hadn't expected Tang Jing to break down like this, let alone cling to him while sobbing.

If He Jinyun saw this...

Ye Zexi turned his head, and sure enough, he spotted He Jinyun standing among the crowd, right next to Director Chen. The director was grinning as he chatted with He Jinyun, who also had a smile on his face.

Noticing Ye Zexi's gaze, He Jinyun mouthed the words: "Good luck."

Ye Zexi: "..."

Good luck, my ass!

Isn't this your boyfriend?

Why is he clinging to me and crying?

What did I do wrong?

If Ye Zexi truly deserved punishment, he believed it should come from the heavens. But why on earth did he have to deal with He Jinyun and Tang Jing right now?

Tang Jing knew he couldn't keep crying like this, but every time he thought of Ah Yan's death, he couldn't stop the tears.

Ah Yan and Ah Zi had grown up together. Ah Yan was always the one who worried the most about leaving Ah Zi alone, but to save Ah Zi's life, Ah Yan had no choice but to leave first.

How reluctant must Ah Yan have been when he left? How heartbroken must Ah Zi be?

Ye Zexi's most frequent advice to Tang Jing during their discussions was, "You need to immerse yourself in the role."
