[On the 17th of September was the Mooncake Festival in my country, and the day before, on the 16th of September, was my country's formation and unification day. I'm not sure if anyone from my country is reading this book (since I know we're quite a minority here haha), but happy celebrations for both occasions, my fellow countrymen! :)]

He Jinyun: "What time are you leaving tomorrow?"

Perhaps due to how the two had grown more familiar, He Jinyun's tone had become much more casual when chatting with Ye Zexi. Still, He Jinyun didn't immediately mention Chen Zhengtian's request. Based on his understanding of Ye Zexi, such things would be quickly forgotten; Ye Zexi wouldn't dwell on it.

Chen Zhengtian's concern was unnecessary.

But explaining that to Chen Zhengtian would be too much trouble, and He had no intention of doing so.

Ye Zexi's reply came quickly: "The flight's at 8 a.m. What about you, Teacher He?"

He Jinyun raised an eyebrow and mentioned a flight: "Is it this one?"

Ye Zexi: "Oh, looks like it is."

He Jinyun: "Looks like we're on the same flight."

"What a coincidence!" Ye Zexi said. "We can sit together then."

He Jinyun didn't refuse, and they agreed to meet at the airport. Ye Zexi then exited the chat and opened his conversation with Tang Jing.

Tang Jing's message was more formal: "Zexi, are you busy right now?"

Ye Zexi replied: "Not busy, what's up?"

After two seconds of silence on Tang Jing's end, Ye Zexi put his phone down, ready to resume watching his show. But just as he set the phone aside, it buzzed again with another message.

Picking up the phone, he hit play on the anime at the same time.

Ye Zexi took a closer look and saw that it was a photo of a contract with the words 'The Food Journal' prominently displayed.

He blinked in surprise, quickly piecing it together: "You're joining 'The Food Journal' too?"

Imagining Ye Zexi's surprised expression, Tang Jing couldn't help but smile as he typed: "Yes, I'm the guest for the next episode."

This genuinely caught Ye Zexi off guard, and he expressed his surprise: "I didn't expect you to be the guest! The production team did a great job keeping it a secret! Are there other guest stars?"

Tang Jing genuinely didn't know: "No idea."

After sending the reply, Tang Jing's lips curved into a smile. He hadn't seen Ye Zexi in months, and now, they would meet tomorrow. Along with his excitement, a strange nervousness welled up inside him. As for the promises he made to his manager, they were long forgotten by now.

"You're leaving from the capital tomorrow?" Tang Jing asked.

Ye Zexi: "Yes, Teacher He and I are both on the 8 a.m. flight. What about you?"

Seeing the words "Teacher He" on the screen, Tang Jing felt as if a cold breeze passed through his heart, wiping away his good mood. After a long pause, he finally typed: "I'm flying out of Hengdian." He hesitated before casually adding, "So you're traveling with Teacher He?"

Ye Zexi replied: "Yeah, Teacher He just messaged me asking about the flight. We realized we're on the same one."

Ye Zexi: "When you arrive, give me a call. It's been a while since we've hung out. I'll treat you to a meal!"
