"You just go in and wake him up," the staff repeated again.
Wei Bei was still hesitant. He felt it wasn't right to barge in and knock on the door to wake someone up, so he turned to the camera and emphasized again, "You all see this, right? It's not me who's opening the door! The keycard was given by the director's team, and they opened the door! I'm just doing this for the sake of the show, being forced into it..."
The voice at the door wasn't deliberately quiet, and He Jinyun, who was a light sleeper, opened his eyes the moment he heard the noise.
After listening quietly for two seconds, He Jinyun furrowed his brows.
He looked down at Ye Zexi, who was still sound asleep in his arms. He Jinyun's gaze softened, and he quickly lowered his head, kissed the corner of Ye Zexi's lips, and whispered, "Zexi? Wake up, the crew is coming to start filming."
Ye Zexi, half-asleep, mumbled incoherently, then pushed He Jinyun away and rolled to the other side of the bed, hugging a pillow as he continued sleeping.
He Jinyun chuckled softly, and after hesitating for a second about whether to wake Ye Zexi or get up himself first, he chose to get up and put on his clothes.
It took only a few seconds for him to get dressed and off the bed, and by this time, the sounds at the door were getting closer.
Unexpectedly, when Wei Bei opened the door to the room, he found there was another door inside. He paused in confusion and couldn't help but lower his voice to shout, "Your crew is messing with me! There's another door here!"
The staff nearly failed to hold back their laughter. "It's fine, go ahead and open it."
Wei Bei clutched his chest and quietly muttered, "Sorry, Zexi," before reaching out to open the bedroom door.
But just as his hand touched the doorknob, the bedroom door was pulled open from the inside.
Wei Bei looked up and instantly froze in place, his voice full of surprise. "Huh—He Jinyun?"
A collective gasp echoed around the room, even the director behind the monitor was stunned.
"What's going on?" the director asked the assistant director next to him. "Did we give him the wrong keycard?"
The assistant director and staff quickly checked the records. "No mistake! Room 1901 is Ye Zexi's room!"
"Then what's happening?"
Suddenly, the same thought occurred to everyone at the same time.
They all exchanged incredulous looks, but somehow felt it was the only explanation that made sense.
This was exciting.
The staff behind Wei Bei also quickly realized what was happening. The atmosphere instantly became awkward.
Should they keep filming or not?
Could they even air this?
"What are you doing?" He Jinyun, dressed in a simple T-shirt and shorts, leaned against the doorframe, completely blocking the view of the camera and everyone's curious gazes. His expression remained calm, as if he hadn't noticed the gossiping looks from the people around him.
Wei Bei looked at He Jinyun, then glanced down at the mission card in his hand, confirming the room number. "Why are you in this room? Isn't this Ye Zexi's room? I'm here to wake him up for the mission."
He Jinyun raised an eyebrow and replied, "What a coincidence. I'm here to wake Zexi up too."
"Huh?" Wei Bei was confused. "What do you mean?"
