In the following moments, Wei Bei and Tang Jing asked a few more questions, all of which the director answered. However, when it came to crucial details, like the identity of the mole, the production team remained tight-lipped.
Once it was confirmed that none of the guests had further questions, the director finally announced the day's task.
Unlike the clear weather of the previous day, it had started to drizzle the night before. As a result, today's game had been moved indoors.
And there was only one task for the day—helping the explorer Xiao Ming find his book.
Xiao Ming had visited the Chaka Salt Lake and found it beautiful, but unfortunately, he lost his travel guide while reading at the city library. Xiao Ming's travel guide was misplaced somewhere in the library, and the guests were tasked with finding it.
The first group to find Xiao Ming's travel guide would be rewarded with a luxurious feast provided by the production team. The group that provided useful clues would receive a gourmet dinner. And for those who actively participated but didn't succeed, the reward would be fresh vegetables, which they'd have to cook for themselves.
Upon hearing this, You Jia couldn't help but comment, "So today you finally have the budget to feed us."
Shan Zeyu burst out laughing.
Wei Bei, filled with determination, seemed to catch on to something. "So this is why the director had us form teams? So we could play the game?"
Tang Jing nodded. "Maybe."
He still wasn't entirely convinced, though. It felt like there might be more to the team divisions than what the production team was letting on. However, for now, they had no clues, and the production team clearly wasn't going to reveal anything. They would have to win the game first to gain more information.
With this thought, Tang Jing couldn't help but glance at Ye Zexi ahead of him.
Ye Zexi didn't notice Tang Jing's gaze, but He Jinyun did, suddenly turning his head and giving Tang Jing a smile.
Tang Jing's expression shifted, and he quickly looked away.
As the recording officially began, the guests set off in their respective groups.
Ye Zexi and He Jinyun trailed behind the other two teams, strolling leisurely through the library, seemingly in no hurry.
Out of the blue, He Jinyun asked, "Do you think those two could be the moles?"
Ye Zexi raised an eyebrow, smiling. "First, let's rule out Tang Jing and Teacher Shan."
"Oh?" He Jinyun looked at Ye Zexi with feigned surprise. "Why's that?"
Ye Zexi glanced sideways at He Jinyun before finally responding, "Teacher He, are you pretending to be clueless?"
He Jinyun chuckled, "You should at least explain this to the director and the audience."
Hearing this, Ye Zexi found it reasonable and cleared his throat before speaking. "First of all, it's impossible for the production team to expose the mole on the first day. So, the hidden task on day one was most likely a decoy. The production team used our bad experience from the first episode to fabricate a lie about a hidden task for this episode."
He Jinyun nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile, behind the monitors, the director was stunned. He looked at the assistant director, baffled, "How did he figure it out?"
