The early morning sunlight gently filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the bedroom. Lucy stirred from her sleep, blinking slowly as she felt the familiar flutter in her stomach. She sighed, her hand instinctively moving to rub her slightly rounded belly.

Something was different today—her cravings were stronger, almost insistent. She closed her eyes again, trying to focus, and then it hit her like a lightning bolt.

"Waffles," she mumbled sleepily, turning over in bed. "Tim, I need waffles. And bacon. Lots of bacon."

Tim, lying next to her, was still half-asleep, but the mention of food stirred him awake. He blinked a few times, processing her words, and then chuckled softly. "Waffles and bacon, huh? I don't think I've ever seen you crave that combination."

Lucy, already getting out of bed, gave him a sheepish smile. "I don't know. It just hit me. And I need it right now."

Tim rubbed his eyes, sitting up. "Well, lucky for you, I'm excellent at breakfast." He stood and stretched, his muscles flexing slightly. "You stay here. I'll handle it."

"Tim..." Lucy started, but then paused, biting her lip. She gave him a grateful smile. "Thank you."

Tim smiled back and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "You're growing a human, Lucy. Breakfast is the least I can do."

As Tim headed toward the kitchen, Lucy followed a few steps behind him, not wanting to miss out on watching him work his magic in the kitchen. She leaned against the doorframe, feeling a sense of peace wash over her.

It wasn't long before the kitchen filled with the delicious smell of sizzling bacon and the sound of the waffle iron popping. Lucy's stomach growled loudly in response.

"Smells amazing," she called out from the doorway.

Tim looked over his shoulder with a grin. "You just wait. It's going to taste even better."

Just as Tim was plating up the waffles, Tamara shuffled into the kitchen, yawning. She had moved in with them during Lucy's first month of pregnancy, and while the house was cozy, the three of them had quickly adapted to living together.

"Morning," Tamara greeted them, her eyes immediately going to the food. "What's going on here? Is it breakfast day?"

Lucy laughed, waving her over. "Morning. You're just in time for some waffles and bacon."

Tamara's eyes lit up. "I'm in!" She grabbed a plate and sat down at the table with them.

As they ate, Lucy's cravings seemed to intensify, her eyes darting to the remaining bacon. Tim caught her glance and raised an eyebrow.

"More?" he teased, nudging the plate toward her. "You've got a serious craving for salty and sweet, huh?"

Lucy groaned, biting into a waffle dripping with syrup. "I can't help it. The baby wants what the baby wants."

Tamara giggled, reaching for another waffle herself. "You're eating for two. You've got the best excuse."

Lucy gave her a mock glare. "You better watch it or you'll be on waffle duty tomorrow."

Tamara smirked. "Bring it on."

They continued their breakfast, laughing and chatting, with Tim keeping an eye on Lucy to make sure she was getting enough to eat. Every now and then, she'd sneak a piece of bacon off his plate, and he'd playfully roll his eyes.
