😶🌫️Sorry for the delay;
I won't lie and say I had problems or studies, I was just too lazy to finish it in a day or two;
Enjoy!!! 💕
The sun peeked through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the nursery. Lucy Chen squinted against the light as she slowly opened her eyes. The peaceful morning ambiance was quickly shattered by the unmistakable sounds of her three little ones—a cacophony of giggles, babbling, and the occasional squeal of protest.
Lucy let out a soft groan, rolling over to see her twin toddlers, Emma and Ethan, bouncing excitedly in their cribs. Their tiny faces beamed with mischief, and Lucy couldn't help but smile despite the impending chaos.
"Good morning, my little rascals," she called out, trying to keep her voice steady. "Are you ready to wake up the whole neighborhood?"
"Mommy! Up! Up!" Emma chirped, her arms waving enthusiastically, while Ethan echoed her with a loud "Up! Up!"
Lucy swung her legs over the side of the bed, feeling the familiar tug of sleep still in her body. She quickly smoothed her hair and tossed on a comfy T-shirt before heading to the nursery. As she approached, she could see Emma was already trying to climb over the railing of her crib.
"Emma! Stay in your crib!" Lucy said, rushing over. "I just got here! We can't have you falling and giving me a heart attack before breakfast."
Ethan's giggles erupted as Emma pouted, her big brown eyes shimmering with a mix of indignation and determination. "But I wanna see Lena!"
"Lena is still sleeping, sweet pea," Lucy replied, gently lowering Emma back down. "Let's let her catch some Zs before we wake her up, okay?"
"Okay!" the twins chorused, although it was clear they weren't quite sold on the idea.
"Alright, let's get you two out of here," Lucy said, carefully lifting Ethan out of the crib. Emma followed suit, and soon the three of them were making their way to the kitchen, where the real fun awaited.
As they entered the kitchen, the familiar scent of coffee wafted through the air. Lucy's sister, Tamara, was already there, flipping pancakes with impressive dexterity, her hair pulled back in a messy bun.
"Morning, Supermom!" Tamara teased, her eyes sparkling with laughter. "I see you've collected the dynamic duo."
"They're the tornado twins today," Lucy replied, ruffling Ethan's hair as he clung to her leg. "We've got our hands full."
"Pancakes?" Tamara held up a fluffy stack, grinning. "They're ready and waiting. I figured breakfast would give you a solid start before the hurricane hits."
"Thanks, Tam! You're a lifesaver," Lucy said, leaning over to give her sister a quick hug.
Ethan's eyes lit up. "Pancakes! Pancakes!"
"Me too! Pancakes!" Emma echoed, her little hands already reaching for the plates.
"Alright, you two, hold your horses!" Lucy chuckled, plating a couple of pancakes. "First, let's make sure we keep them on the plate and not on the floor."
Tamara raised an eyebrow. "Good luck with that. They're more like pancake ninjas."
Lucy laughed, pouring syrup on the twins' pancakes while keeping a watchful eye. "Okay, no syrup fights today! Let's make it to the table without incident."
As they sat down, Ethan began to wiggle in his chair, eyes darting around the table. "Where Lena?"
"She's still snoozing in her crib," Lucy replied, cutting up pancakes into bite-sized pieces. "We'll let her join us when she wakes up, okay?"
