Invisible Speed

Setting: Shinobi Barrier - Forest Park

The Gessen Girls—Yumi, Murakumo, Yozakura, Shiki, and Minori—are deep in battle within a shinobi barrier. The air crackles with tension as they clash with a group of rogue shinobi who have been causing chaos around the city. The fight is fierce, with weapons clashing and energy blasts lighting up the darkened area within the barrier.

Yumi, with her usual calm and focused demeanor, leads the charge. She gracefully parries an attack with her fans, while Yozakura’s powerful punches send shockwaves through the battlefield. Shiki moves with precision, her scythe cutting through the air, while Murakumo and Minori back them up with their own unique abilities.

But just as the battle seems to reach its peak, something unexpected happens.

One of the rogue shinobi is suddenly struck by something moving so fast that it’s barely visible—a blur that seems to flash across the battlefield in an instant. The rogue is sent flying back, crashing into the ground with a heavy thud.

Yumi blinks in surprise, momentarily losing her focus. She glances around, trying to understand what just happened. But before she can process it, the blur moves again, attacking the rest of the rogues with lightning-fast precision. In a matter of seconds, the rogue shinobi are incapacitated, their weapons scattered across the ground.

Murakumo: "W-What was that…?"

Yozakura: "I could barely see it! Some kind of attack… but who?"

The Gessen Girls stand at the ready, expecting another wave of attacks. But instead, there’s only silence. The blur—whatever it was—disappears as quickly as it appeared, leaving behind only the defeated rogues.

Yumi: "Stay alert, everyone. We don’t know if it’s friend or foe…"

The girls slowly lower their weapons as they realize that the mysterious attacker is no longer present. The shinobi barrier begins to dissipate, and they are left standing in the now-peaceful park, the chaos of the battle quickly fading away.

Yumi furrows her brow, deep in thought.

Yumi: "Whoever or whatever that was… it moved with incredible speed. Faster than any shinobi I’ve ever seen."

Shiki twirls her scythe playfully but looks equally intrigued.

Shiki: "Like, that was totally wild! I didn’t even get a good look. But whoever it is, they’re seriously fast!"

Flashback: Earlier That Day - The Same Park

Suzuki had been strolling around the park, enjoying a rare moment of peace. The trees swayed gently in the breeze, and the sound of birds chirping filled the air. For a brief moment, it felt like everything was back to normal—no shinobi battles, no Bad Piggies, just a quiet day in the park.

But then, as Suzuki wandered deeper into the park, he felt a strange sensation. A shimmer of energy surrounded him, and before he realized it, he had unknowingly walked into a shinobi barrier.

Suzuki looked around, his eyes wide with confusion. The once peaceful park had transformed into a dark and twisted version of itself. He could sense the presence of powerful shinobi nearby, and he knew he had to avoid getting caught.

Instinctively, Suzuki reached for his belt of orbs and activated Chuck’s power, the Angry Bird known for his incredible speed. Energy surged through him, and in an instant, Suzuki’s entire body felt lighter, faster—almost like he was one with the wind.

Suzuki: "Alright, let’s see if I can get out of here without being seen…"

With Chuck’s power activated, Suzuki became a blur of motion. He dashed through the barrier, his movements so fast that he was nearly invisible. As he ran, he noticed a group of shinobi engaged in battle—though they seemed to be handling the situation, he couldn’t risk being caught by either side.

But then, one of the rogue shinobi spotted him—or at least tried to. Acting on instinct, Suzuki changed direction and launched a high-speed attack, hitting the rogue with enough force to knock him out. Before the rest could react, Suzuki continued his onslaught, moving so fast that none of the combatants could track his movements.

After taking down the rogue shinobi, Suzuki didn’t stick around to see the results. He knew he had to get out of the barrier before someone noticed him. With one final burst of speed, Suzuki dashed out of the barrier, disappearing into the shadows just as quickly as he had entered.

Back to the Present: Park

As the Gessen Girls regroup and try to make sense of what happened, Suzuki watches from a distance, safely hidden behind a tree. He lets out a sigh of relief, grateful that his quick thinking got him out of a potentially dangerous situation.

Suzuki: "Phew… That was close. Guess I need to be more careful where I wander next time."

He glances down at Chuck’s orb, still glowing faintly on his belt.

Suzuki: "Thanks for the save, Chuck. That speed is a lifesaver."

With the danger passed, Suzuki quietly slips away from the park, leaving the Gessen Girls to ponder the identity of the mysterious blur that intervened in their battle.
