**Setting: Hanzo's Sushi Restaurant**

The smell of fresh seafood and sizzling rice fills the air as Asuka enters her grandfather's sushi restaurant. It’s a quaint, traditional spot nestled in a quiet corner of the town. The soft clinking of chopsticks and murmurs of customers create a calming atmosphere. After a long day of shinobi duties, Asuka is eager for a comforting meal. And nothing comforts her more than her favorite futomaki rolls, especially when made by her grandfather, Hanzo.

She walks up to the counter, where Hanzo, the legendary shinobi and current sushi chef, is working diligently. He greets her with a warm smile as he rolls some fresh sushi for a customer.

**Hanzo**: "Ah, Asuka! Good to see you, my dear. How was your day?"

Asuka takes a seat at the counter, her stomach already growling in anticipation.

**Asuka**: "Tiring, Grandpa. But I couldn’t resist coming by for some of your futomaki rolls. They’re the best!"

Hanzo chuckles, his eyes twinkling with pride. He knows just how much Asuka loves his sushi, and it always brings him joy to prepare her favorite dishes.

**Hanzo**: "Coming right up! You know, it’s a good thing I made an extra batch today. I had a feeling you might drop by."

As Hanzo expertly begins crafting the rolls, Asuka leans back in her chair, feeling the tension of the day slowly melting away. The thought of spending time with her grandfather and enjoying her favorite meal fills her with warmth.

As Hanzo plates the futomaki and sets it in front of her, he leans on the counter, watching her with a curious expression.

**Hanzo**: "So, Asuka… I heard from one of the students at Hanzo Academy that you’ve been spending time with a young man named Suzuki. Is there anything you'd like to share with your old grandfather?"

Asuka is in the middle of taking a big bite of her futomaki when she hears Suzuki's name. Her eyes widen in surprise, and she almost chokes on the food. She quickly grabs her tea, gulping it down to clear her throat.

**Asuka** (coughing): "S-Suzuki?!"

Hanzo grins, clearly amused by her reaction, as he gently pats her back.

**Hanzo**: "Easy there, Asuka! You don’t want to choke on your favorite rolls."

Asuka, cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and surprise, sets down her chopsticks, trying to compose herself.

**Asuka**: "I-I wasn’t expecting you to bring up Suzuki, Grandpa…"

Hanzo chuckles, leaning back with a knowing smile.

**Hanzo**: "Well, you know how word gets around the academy."

Asuka fidgets in her seat, unsure of how to explain. It’s true she hadn’t told her grandfather about Suzuki—mostly because there wasn’t much to tell. He was just a friend from school, nothing more. Still, having her grandfather bring it up like this caught her completely off guard.

**Asuka**: "He’s just a friend from school, Grandpa. We were in the same class before I got really busy with my shinobi training. We bumped into each other recently at the baseball field, that’s all."

Hanzo nods thoughtfully, stroking his chin as he listens.

**Hanzo**: "Ah, I see. You’ve been so focused on your training that it’s easy to forget about those old connections. But it’s good to have friends outside the shinobi world, Asuka. They can help keep you grounded."

Asuka smiles, appreciating her grandfather’s wisdom. It’s true—being around Suzuki and the other students reminded her of the normal life she often longed for.

**Asuka**: "You’re right, Grandpa. It was nice to catch up with him. I think… I just needed that reminder that there’s more to life than being a shinobi."

Hanzo places a gentle hand on her shoulder, his expression softening.

**Hanzo**: "That’s good to hear, Asuka. Just remember to cherish those connections. They’re just as important as your duties. And if this Suzuki is a good friend, then I’m glad you have someone like him around."

Asuka nods, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. Her grandfather’s words always had a way of reassuring her.

**Asuka**: "Thanks, Grandpa. I’ll keep that in mind."

Hanzo smiles warmly, stepping back to the counter.

**Hanzo**: "Now, finish your futomaki before it gets cold! And if you ever feel like bringing Suzuki here for some sushi, I’ll be sure to whip up something special."

Asuka laughs, finally relaxing as she digs back into her meal.

**Asuka**: "I’ll think about it, Grandpa. Maybe one day."

The two share a comfortable silence as Asuka enjoys her futomaki, feeling grateful for this small moment of peace amidst her hectic life.
