The consequences of Veldora's attack on Ruberios had reverberated throughout the world, causing ripples that altered alliances, strained relationships, and upset the delicate balance of power. For Velriza, the True Dragon of Void, the last 200 years had been a period of silent contemplation and latent tension. She had remained in Ruberios, observing, waiting, and maintaining a careful distance from the political machinations of other powerful beings.
But all of that changed the day she felt Veldora's presence vanish.
An Ominous Silence
Velriza had been in meditation, perched on a rocky cliff that overlooked the sacred lands of Ruberios. Her senses were tuned to the flow of magicules across the world, feeling the subtle shifts and changes that often foretold events of great consequence. But today, something was different. The familiar, chaotic signature of Veldora's energy had suddenly... disappeared.
Her eyes flew open, a frown forming on her face. She extended her senses further, reaching out with the full expanse of her consciousness. There was nothing — no trace of her brother's magicules, not even the faintest hint of his presence.
"What... has happened?" she murmured to herself, her voice carrying in the wind.
Immediately, Velriza rose from her position and took flight, heading towards the heart of Ruberios where Luminous Valentine resided. Her wings cut through the cold air, the sense of urgency growing with every passing moment.
A Confrontation with Luminous Valentine
Luminous Valentine sat in her dimly lit chamber, surrounded by the flickering light of countless candles. Her expression was calm but her eyes were sharp, as if she were already aware of Velriza's arrival. As Velriza entered, she did not wait for pleasantries.
"Luminous," Velriza began, her voice tight, "I can no longer sense Veldora. What has happened?"
Luminous sighed, folding her hands in front of her. "I've noticed it as well. His presence vanished, completely, from this realm."
Velriza's frown deepened. "How is that possible? The seal that Chronoa placed should have been unbreakable."
Luminous nodded. "Indeed, it should have been. But there's something... peculiar. Not long after Veldora's presence vanished, I felt the emergence of another, new presence in the Great Forest of Jura."
Velriza's interest piqued. "A new presence?"
Luminous's lips curled into a slight smile. "Yes. Faint, but unmistakably powerful. It carries an echo of Veldora's magicules, but mixed with something... different. As if Veldora's energy has been entwined with another being."
Velriza's eyes widened. "What sort of being?"
Luminous leaned back, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "A slime, of all things."
Velriza blinked, stunned. "A slime? How could a slime be involved with Veldora's disappearance?"
Luminous waved her hand dismissively. "That is what I want you to find out. This slime may hold the answers to your questions."
A New Path Forward
Velriza considered the situation, her mind working quickly. "I will go to the Great Forest of Jura," she decided. "I must see this slime and discover how he is connected to Veldora's disappearance."
Luminous nodded approvingly. "Be cautious, Velriza. If this slime has indeed gained Veldora's power, he could be more dangerous than he appears."
Velriza's eyes flashed with determination. "I am a True Dragon, Luminous. There is little that can truly harm me. But I will remain vigilant."
