"Are we there yet?"
-Wade tilts his head to the side as you look at him. He's wearing a clown mask, and dressed in all black. He takes a step toward you, raising his hands, holding a dark hood. You realise what's about to happen, and on instinct you attack by kicking him. He easily dodges and moves to grab you, but you punch him in the face. His face whips to the side from the impact and he looks slowly back at you. You try to punch him again, but someone new grabs your wrist before you get a chance. You look at the new guy who's wearing another disturbing mask. Then you use your other hand to attack, he soon has you turned around with your hands behind your back, preparing to tie them.
"Who are you? What do you want?" You ask, calmly. "Is it money? Go ahead, take whatever you want. I won't call the police, just let me go and take what you want."
When he tries to tie your hands you kick his leg from behind and he grunts in pain. You try to pry your wrist loose but he turns his hand and bends yours so it's suddenly being held in an uncomfortable position for you. You gasp from the sudden movement. Elijah holds you tight, keeping you still as you squirm. You whimper slightly when he tightens the restraints. Wade nudges Elijah slightly in warning, reminding him not to harm you. You try to scream for help, but just as you do Wade gags you. Looking between the two, you frown at their masks.
"What's up with the clown masks?" You try to speak, but it just comes out muffled so you huff in frustration. The guys look at each other, confused as to why you seem so calm. Sure, you're not making it easy for them, Elijah is gonna have a bruise to prove it. But you don't seem scared. You seem more annoyed, and even a bit curious.
Wade takes the hood over your head and it smells disgusting. Everything is pitch black for you while they guide you somewhere. One of the guys is holding the upper arm of your tied hands behind your back and ushers you to walk. You walk and try to smell or hear something familiar to see if you could get a feel for your surroundings, but the smell of the hood clouds your senses and not in a good way, you almost feel dizzy from the scent. Instead you focus on your hearing. You heard the elevator doors close behind you. Then suddenly a door opens and you feel a cold breeze. After walking some more and hearing voices far in the distance you almost stumble as they make you walk down a staircase.
"A warning next time would be nice." You tell them but it comes out slightly muffled. Since your gag is wet from your spit and you have bit it down hard you can breathe easier and they can also hear you enough to understand what you're saying.
Then you hear your footsteps starting to echo, like you're in a parking garage or something. You listen as you hear a car screech to a stop in front of you, and what sounds like wan door sliding open. The guys holding you pushes you slightly forward and someone in front of you grab and pull you into the vehicle. They sit you down on something and you try to get comfortable. You then hear the passenger door open and close, and the door you get in slide locked again.
"So, anyone wanna tell me where were going?" You ask, your voice barely muffled from the gag now. No one response. "No one? Okay."
After some more minutes of driving in silence, and you just chewing at the gag, you huff in annoyance.
"Hey clown, can we take this gag off? It's disgusting. And it's not like it holds any purpose anymore." You tell them.
You hear some shuffling and then someone moving from their seat to what sounds like getting closer to you. Then you feel the hood raising up toward your nose and stop, not letting you see anything. The person then takes the gag out of your mouth and let it fall loose around your throat, then taking the hood back down.
"What about the hood? It smell disgusting." You say. No response and you sigh. "Fine.. You know, i was having a really good day. I wasn't late for my first day on my new job, despite the terrible traffic. I got to know my nice new colleagues. And i was saving that soda for when i got back, but now it lays on my kitchen floor, staining my new carpet in my new apartment." You tell them. Still no response.
You drive in silence for a long time.
"Argh, are we there yet?" You groan impatiently and slouch back in your seat.
You think you hear someone stiffle a chuckle or something, but it becomes a grunt in pain, so someone probably silenced them.
"Who are you taking me to anyway?" You try to ask. Then after a few moments someone finally speaks.
"The Joker wants to see you." Someone tells you.
"The Joker?" You ask sitting up straight. "Huh.. What does he want from me?" You ask but get no response. Trying not to let your head go to the worst case scenarios, you lean back in your seat.
The car makes a lot more frequent turns and eventually stops. You hear the doors open.
"Finally." You breathe out while someone helps you out, annoyed with how long you had to sit there in that uncomfortable and silent car ride. They could've atleast put some music on.
You hear footsteps echoing around you as you walk, guessing you're in another garage. Then you stop and hear a click, later an elevator door opening. In the elevator you get in and they turn you around to face the doors you just walked in through. You tap your foot to the elevator music, being the only two sounds in the space. The elevator stops again and the guy ushers you to go, and you do. The person holding you stops and therefore makes you stop.
"Boss, we have what you requested." Someone says, sounding like the one in front of you, his voice sounding younger than the one that spoke in the car earlier.
"Good. I better not find any evidence of-" Someone speaks, but gets interrupted.
"No harm came to her, i assure you. She made a struggle, so we had to tie her up, that's all." Elijah tells him.
"Good, good." The other male voice sounds, while what you believe is his footsteps moving closer. He stops a little before you, probably by the guy in front of you. "But.. If you ever.." He starts, his voice growing menacing. "Interrupt me again.. " He tells Elijah, then whispers something, you're guessing closer to his ear because you can't hear what he says next.
"Understood. Sorry, sir, Mr. J. I, it won't happen again." He stutters slightly. Your eyebrows raise at the confirmation of who you're in the presence of.
"No, it won't." He chuckles menacingly. "Now leave, I believe you have some mess to clean up after yourself." He tells him and he leaves.
The guy now seem to take his attention elsewhere, to you your guessing. And confirming by the way you feel the hair on your neck rise, getting a feeling like you're being stared at. You want to say something but the growing fear you're feeling stops you. Trying to internally shake the fear away, you think about what the self defence teacher told you and you try to calm yourself before your breathing starts picking up. You do, and you prepare yourself. Then as if getting an order, the guy holding you lets go of your arm and goes in front of you to take your hood of. As he does, you blink to make your eyes used to the light again. You are met with a man standing with the hood in his hand examining your face, turning then his attention to who's behind him and taking a step to the side. There, before you, stands the man himself.
A pale white skinned man with bright green hair, in a burgundy shirt unbuttoned down to the middle of the shirt, revealing a pale tattooed chest. He's wearing black suit pants and black shiny loafers. His hand leaning on a cane. Jewellery on hands and fingers, a chain necklace hanging loosely around his neck. The Joker looks at you with an unreadable face expression.
