"I'm not staying with you."
-

You then push the guy off you and catch yourself.

"I'm late for work." You state, clapping your hands to brush off imaginary dust from them, as if you were the one about to win the 'fight' against the elevator guy.

The guy just rolls his eyes at you and move to stand on his post again. You then look up to glare at Jay, who's just looking at you with an amused face.

"You need to take me to work, I have clothes there I can change into. If we go now, I might just make it in time before they go on air." You say as you look at the clock on the wall.

"Not happening doll, your boss already responded, telling you to drink lots of hot soup and to take some ibuprofen." He laughs as he passes you and walk into the living room.

"What?" You say confused, walking after him. But before you walk to far away, you hear the sound of the elevator closing and you whip toward it make a run for it, but you don't make it in time. "No, no, no." You crash into the closed doors. "Argh." You groan in frustration and then walk angrily to Jay. "What do you mean, you talked to my boss?" You ask walking up to him standing by the fridge.

"You texted your boss, telling him you're at home, feeling sick." He tells you, not looking at you.

"So you have my phone.." You state and he picks it out from his pocket, and waves with it in his hand. "Why did you write that, it's clearly not true." You tell him gesturing to your surroundings, then yourself looking not sick laying in bed.

"Are you feeling well right now?"

"What?" You ask, then you start to think about how your body feel right now, you still feel a bit hungover but you hadn't drunk that much last night so it must be from whatever was in that syringe. "No. What did you do?" You tell him.

"Right, then you are at home, feeling sick right now. I don't see the lie in that." He tells you and ignores your question.

"What do you mean? Why did you tell him that? I'm not-" You stop as he raises his eyebrow at you with a smirk and the realisation hits you at what he's saying, the elevator door opens. As if on cue, in walks men holding your bags with what you can only guess is all your clothes. You whip your head back to Jay. He just winks at you.

"I'm not staying with you." You tell him.

"Yes, you are."

"No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are."

"Why?" You sigh.

"You refuse to leave the city, then you will stay here so I can keep an eye on you." He shrugs.

"You have already had an eye on me ever since I first saw you. You don't need me living with you to watch me." You tell him and he raises an eyebrow at you. "Oh, you didn't know I knew?" You cross your arms with a smug grin.

"Then who followed you?" He then asks, crossing his own arms, gesturing to the guys in the room.

Your smile disappears and you look around slowly trying to see if you remember them from the days you felt like you were being watched. When you turn back to Jay he smiles smugly and chuckles.

"Everyone who lives in Gotham feels like they're being watched." He tells you.

"Him." You then point to a random person in the room, just because. Not looking, just staring angrily at Jay. Jay turn to look at the person your pointing at. The said guy, frozen in place with wide eyes, looking between Jay and you. You don't take your eyes away from Jay as you watch him start to chuckle and turn back to you.
