"I felt like a part of me died with you that day."

Once he's done in the bathroom, you find your toiletries all set up in his mirror cabinet after he had ordered Helen to get you settled in.

"Seems like there's no privacy here." You mutter to yourself.

After brushing your teeth and combing your hair, you walk back into the bedroom you see Jay already in bed laying on the side you woke up in.

You walk over to the other side and lay down, dipping into bed you can't help but sigh, the bed was really nice. You stroke the soft duvet covers, enjoying the smooth fabric until you remember you were supposed to be mad at the man sitting on the other side of the bed. Then you turn to glare at him, but when he doesn't look at you, you turn your back to him, frustrated.

"You're angry." He says. And you scoff at the obvious and unnecessary statement. He chuckles and you turn to glare at him again. "You're just the same." He tells you, still not looking up from his book.

"What do you mean?" You frown.

"You sound just the same with your huffing, you look just the same when you pout. When you're angry or upset you fist your hands on your sides and huff, frowning with a pout." He tells you, still not taking his eyes away from his book.

You look at the side of his face while he reads. Then deciding to ignore his comment since he doesn't look to give any indication for conversation anyway you turn with your back to him again.

He then looks up from his book to you, then your neck where your hair has fallen away from, now revealing the exposed skin. All he wants to do is bury his face in your neck, inhaling your scent, feeling his lips against your skin, not to mention your lips. It felt like it was all he could think about today, he had carried you to his room last night after the club, savouring the feeling of you snuggling into his shoulder in your sleep. He shakes his head at his thoughts, you don't want him. You might have done once, as you had said the night before, but not anymore.

No one really does, not in this perfection obsessed world, only some extremely drunk girls or maybe some power hungry gold diggers give him attention like that. But he just shoos them away. Especially after one girl had sobered up unfortunately when she was still in his personal space, but even though his attention hadn't really been much on her he did get a bit offended and hurt when she didn't hide her disgust. She had gotten scared at first at where she had gotten herself in her drunken state. Jay had enjoyed that part. But when she squirmed disgusted at the sight of him close to her, he tried not to get offended. He had only had her on his side to distract the person he was dealing with while one of his guys, who he hired for his sneaky thieving skills, had snatched his phone and had Rhea hack it for information. Apparently the man was into redheads, and the drunk girl bold enough, or drunk enough, to try and approach Joker had been a redhead. So that's how he ended up in that situation. He just let her leave when she left his side, never showing any kind of concern or reaction about it, the phone was already back in the guys pocket so he didn't need any distractions and even if, he would've just made a conversation. Though the lingering disgust stayed with him. After that he lost all interest for any kind of attention like that.

Sometimes it made him think about how he looked like before though, girls had been all over him then. Though they were never anything compared to you. That had just been meaningless, he had never really flirted or shown interest to anyone he wasn't targeting for a reason to use them. Even before his disfigurement. It was because you had always been in the back of his mind, he compared everyone to you.

And now that you're here, all he wants is to hold you and touch you, have you close, safe, in his arms. He felt like that teenager again... pathetic. He shakes his thoughts away. Last night he had put you in his bed, made Helen, change you into something other than your dress and left to finish the business that had gotten interrupted, setting up a new meeting and planning with Johnny.
