Chapter 29 Growing Apart

THREE YEARS LATER

Ciara's POV

Three years later, me and Roc are now 18 and Kiara is 3 along with my nephew Daniel Junior or DJ Lol. Anyway I still live with my brother and my parents haven't talked to me in forever so I guess they're still mad.

I don't know how you can stay mad at someone for so long but they can. Also Nevaeh and Ray's baby girl Jalisa is now 3. It's funny how we all had our babies in the same time frame. Anyway it's the middle of the night and I'm sleep peacefully.

Roc is at his house cause me and him haven't been getting along well since Kiara turned 2 but we still love each other, we just don't like each other at the moment.

Tonight we got into an argument and he left. Jamila and Jamie went back to Detroit to live with they're dad and I miss them both but I still don't know what happened between Prod and Jamie three years ago but I guess one day I'll find out.

Prince and Neicey are at college together and they have their own place me and her still hang out when we have time and me and Nevaeh hang out all the time cause of the kids but other the whole Roc problem, life is good.

So as I was saying, I was sleep when I heard my door creak open and someone walk in, then I felt little hands pat my back and a little voice calling my name.

Kiara-Mommy mommy

Me-(yawning) Yes baby girl

Kiara-I'm scared

Me-Of what?

Kiara-Daddy

Me-Come here baby girl

I picked her up and sat her on my lap.

My-Why are you scared of daddy?

Kiara-He always yells at you

Me-Awe baby girl that doesn't mean you have to be scared of him. Me and your daddy just aren't the best of friends right now but I promise we'll figure it out OK

Kiara-OK

Me-I don't want you to ever be afraid of your daddy because he loves you

Kiara-Ok mommy

Me-Ok

I kissed her head and hugged her.

Me-Ok let's go put you back to bed

Kiara-Mommy can I stay here with you pwease?

Me-Ok baby

She got in the covers next to me and curled up close to me with her teddy bear. I kissed her head and we both fell asleep.

THE NEXT MORNING

Roc's POV

I woke around 7 in the morning and I'm not real sure why I'm up so early so don't ask. I went in the bathroom and did my morning routine.

As I was brushing my teeth I thought about the argument me and Ciara had last night and thought about how dumb it was.

I mean all she asked was where was I going and I just snapped at her. I sighed and finished what I was doing, then I went to Ciara's.

When I got there Diggy answered the door and I went upstairs into Ciara's room and found her and Kiara snuggled up together sleep.

I quietly walked over the side of the bed where Kiara was and shook her lightly.

Me-Kiara wake up baby girl

She woke up and rubbed her eyes, then yawned. She looked at me with a sleepy look.
