*Hey guys. Sorry for the short chapter. I had a lot going on today and I was barely able to finish this. I'll try and make it up to you though. Believe me, these next few chapters are going to be... interesting. Have a great time reading, and you'll hopefully see another tomorrow. :)*

Nico's Pov

If it weren't for Dick, Nico would have guessed he was hallucinating. He had a straight face on but Nico could see the shock in his eyes.

Bruce did his best to save him, turning to look at Nico with a confused look on his face.

"What did you say?"

"I said Nightwing."

"What about Nightwing?" Bruce asked cautiously.

"How did I not realize this before? I already met the guy like twice. And I've spent the last few days with you guys."

Nico put his head in his hands and mumbled a few choice words about himself in Italian.

"May I ask again, what do you believe you hadn't noticed about Nightwing."

"Dick is Nightwing, it's kind of obvious now that I see it. Meaning you're probably that bat guy."

Dick snorted when he heard Nico say, "that bat guy." "Batman?" He turned to Bruce with a confused look on his face.

Bruce gave him the slightest nod and turned back to Nico.

"Let's talk about this after your friends leave. Then I'll explain everything to you, I promise."

Nico winced slightly when he heard the promise. He had suffered enough because of a promise. But he didn't see how this one could hurt, so he just nodded and headed back to the sitting room.

He finally got around to talking to Will, who explained why he had walked out that night. He was extremely grateful Will hadn't been mad at him. Though he was probably going to gut Kayla next time he saw her.

Then Hazel came over and explained how they had finally tracked Nico down using the metal from his ring, because no Iris messages they were sending him were going through. Only to get to the mansion and see that a small fire had broken out, and Nico was missing.

So Bruce had left and called the police, and this vigilante called "Batman" had shown up.

Hazel insisted that she go with them. So they tracked Nico down once again and ended up where they were.

Nico hugged Hazel, grateful that she had looked for him, he had to fight back tears. I mean seriously. Being stabbed in the leg couldn't make him cry, but a simple act of kindness could. He really needed to get a hold of himself.

Hazel and Will left, though they threatened to come back if Nico didn't contact them weekly.

Then Nico walked back to Bruce's office, wondering what Bruce meant by "explain everything" and why these people ran around Gotham playing hero, dressed up in tight costumes and calling themselves stuff like "Batman" and "Nightwing" like seriously.

He knocked on the door, and when he heard someone on the other side say that he could come in, he opened it.

He was not expecting the entire family to be there, including Alfred.

"Sit down." Bruce sighed, "This is going to take a while to explain."

So they started. First Bruce explained how he had become Batman, after his parents had died how he had vowed to protect Gotham from criminals. Then, a while later, he adopted Dick, who had seen his parents die as well and became the first Robin. Later Nightwing.

Then came Jason, who Bruce had found trying to steal the Batmobile's tires. He had become the second Robin, then he upgraded into Red Hood.

Tim had figured out their identities and became the third Robin after he convinced Bruce, after Jason had died.

"Ah ha," Nico looked at Jason when he heard this, "I knew you had died!"

Jason flinched, looking a little shocked.

"How? I don't think that's very public knowledge. And I definitely never told you."

He looked around at the brothers who all shook their heads, looking just as perplexed.

Nico shrugged, a mischievous smirk on his face, "It's part of the secret."

This seemed to even more confuse the three who hadn't been a part of the conversation before. But Bruce urged them to continue.

Later, Jason was revived using something called the Lazarus Pits. Nico remembered briefly hearing his father and Thanatos having an argument about those, something about the legality? And Damian was brought into Bruce's custody, though they didn't elaborate much Damian explained that he was raised by assassins.

Once the backstory was over, Nico felt overwhelmed. He had been brought into this family that already had so much history, how would he truly ever fit in?

Then came the dreaded question.

"Now Nico," Bruce crossed his arms and leaned back, "About this secret of your's?"

Nico flinched.

"Believe me, I wish I could tell you. But if I did right now, you would either go insane, forget what I said, be killed, or I'd immediately be killed instead and all evidence of me would probably be wiped."

For some reason, this didn't seem to comfort Bruce.

"And," He folded his hands like a real business man, "Who told you this would happen."

Nico thought back to the first time he had heard about it. It was either Percy, or Minos.

"I don't remember exactly, it was either my cousin, or this... guy I knew."

"Cousin? How are you related to this cousin?"

This was starting to feel like an interrogation.

"You know what. I need to figure out how much I can tell you guys. I'll be right back."

He ran out of the room, checking and making sure that no one was following him before, he shadow traveled to his destination.

He knelt down as soon as he got there, not expecting an audience.

"Hello father. Lord Poseidon."
