15) Adopted?

Will's Pov

Will had begun feeling a bit better after he saw Nico alive and healthy, well as healthy as he could be after getting kidnapped.

He had started spending a bit more time with the seven. He enjoyed their stories about the adventures they had been on, and their shared grief over everyone that had been lost in the wars.

So he had been hanging out with them, exchanging stories about Nico and his drama, when there was suddenly a knock on the door.

Immediately everyone but Will were on their feet, he scrambled to follow, wondering who it could be.

Percy cautiously approached the door, unsheathing Riptide. They all knew there was a low chance of it being a monster, but not zero, never zero.

But everyone was shocked when Percy opened the door and immediately dropped the sword, surging forward and hugging whoever was out there.

The other demi-gods went to see who was out there. When they did, everyone exept Hazel and Will leaped forward.

There stood Nico, holding the ear of a very squished looking latino. Leo Valdez was being buried in a pile of demi-gods.

Once Nico had untangled himself from the mound, looking a bit annoyed but satisfied, Will got a closer look at Leo. He had a large bruise on his jaw.

What had Nico done this time?

Will went over to his bag and tossed the son of Hephaestus a piece of ambrosia.

Once he had finished eating it and his jaw was healed, he finally started telling his story. He explained how he'd figured out the only way they could defeat Gaea and he could get back to his girlfriend on Ogygia. Percy froze when he heard this.

"Calypso?"

Leo nodded and shot Percy a glare, but continued his story.

He'd died and used the Physician's Cure to revive himself. Nico cringed when he heard that, though nobody noticed but Will, who crept up to his side, very stealthy.

He'd then ridden Festus, who he'd secretly rebuilt in the Argo II hull, around the world until he and Calypso found a place to settle down and build their machine shop. Then Calypso insisted that he come and tell the seven that he was alive. And here they were.

This ended in an argument, a lot of people calling Leo stupid, a few slaps and punches in his direction, and some very creative cursing. Until everyone settled down.

That's when they noticed the intruder.

The black haired boy tried to sidle up to Nico without anyone noticing him, but failed spectacularly, these were demi-gods anyway.

As soon as he moved all the demi-god's eyes were on him.

"Who are you?" Annabeth asked, cautiously putting her hand on her drakon bone sword. Will saw Percy slip his hand into his pocket, where Riptide had probably returned to him.

Jason, who Will remembered from his time at the Wayne manor, just opened his mouth looking speechless.

That's when Will remembered he was mortal, and from the look in his eyes, the Mist probably hadn't covered all the weapons the teenagers had.

"This," Nico walked up to Jason, casually putting himself between the Wayne and the demi-gods, "Is my friend, Jason."

And that was probably when the seven remembered that Nico had disappeared for almost a month.
