*Hehe, idk if you guys are going to hate me or love me for this chapter. Hopefully both.*

Will's Pov

You could say Will was worried. He would say distressed.

Hades had tried to keep him, Nico, and Violet in the Underworld for some reason, then when Nico had called him out on it he'd sent Will and Violet away, now alone with his son in a probably violent temper.

Bruce was also stressed, he'd immediately gotten in contact with Hazel when he heard the news and now the two were talking in his office.

Will was pacing while Violet sat on the couch still looking slightly confused about the whole situation.

I shouldn't have let him go to that dinner. He scolded himself. He'd known what Hades had done to him, yet he didn't even think of asking any other gods for help or running like Hades had thought they were going to do.

But he hadn't done that. So all he could do was pace while Nico's family tried to help.

Finally Hazel came out, looking grim. She looked at Will and shook her head.

"I can't go down there right now. It's like he's blocking me. We're just going to have to wait and see."

Nico's Pov

Yeah, calling out Hades had been a mistake.

He'd sent Nico to the shadow room for a while. Though that might not have sounded so bad, his claustrophobia kicked in immediately.

Idiot, Idiot, Idiot, there are so much better ways you could have approached that. Why do you have to be so stupid. This is why Hades wanted to keep you down here, you're a hazard to everyone around you. Will could have gotten hurt if Hades had actually gotten angry.

He stayed in that room, alone in his thoughts, for what could have been hours, could have been days, mentally destroying himself and belittling himself, until Hades finally took him out.

He was transported to his office, directly into the chair across from Hades.

"Hello son," Hades put on a twisted smile.

"Father," Nico was barely able to respond. His throat was so dry.

"You disobeyed me and challenged me." Hades folded his hands and put his elbows on the table, glaring at Nico who shrunk slightly under his gaze then straightened again when he noticed.

"I'm sorry father," Nico forced his voice to stay steady.

"Sorry doesn't cut it. You mortals could never understand my intentions. Believe me when I say I have my reasons for wanting to keep you down here. Going back to the surface would only bring you pain and suffering."

"I can handle pain and suffering father," Nico responded coolly, "I've done it for years."

"That doesn't mean you should do it more." Hades' glare intensified.

"I have to father," Nico forced himself not to shrink under his fathers glare, "It's part of being me. Part of being a demi-god. Part of being your son."

Hades finally softened the glare, sitting back in his seat.

"I can never understand you mortals. Always running into trouble."

"You order us too, father."

Hades just made a 'hm' sound and said, "Well, let us see if you really can handle pain as well as you think you can. You can come to me at any time to ask for it to end, but then you'll have to stay in the underworld until this all is over if you do. Have fun my son, this is going to be a long week for you."
