*Sry guys, this chapter is mega short but I spent all day either doing homework, sleeping, at my sport, or working on Ink & Ashs, I still think it's good though, but some people might be confused if they don't have the context.*

They stumbled out of the shadows of a big statue, that was all Nico saw before he collapsed into Will's arms. Luckily he was only out of it for a few minutes before he felt warmth spread though his body. He was finally able to open his eyes.

"Why'd that take so much out of me," He groaned as he sat up. Then he froze when he saw a stranger crouched in front of him.

He had blond hair and gray eyes like Annabeth, he was glowing slightly, but that wasn't the real issue.

He was dead.

Nico knew it as soon as he saw the boy, this guy was dead. And not like Hazel's dead, or even Leo's dead. He was dead dead, like a ghost.

Nico's never seen a ghost that looked so physical, and he couldn't be a zombie. He looked alive, but that didn't matter at the moment.

In an instant Nico was on his feet and had his sword pointed at the dead dude, Hades would be annoyed if he didn't send him down to the Underworld.

He controlled the shadows and made the person freeze. It was surprisingly difficult, normally Nico could control the dead with little resistance. This was different, what was this guy's deal?

He was about to banish him to his fathers realm when suddenly Annabeth jumped in front of him.

"Nico! Stop!"

His focus was broken and his control over the dead dude fell apart, the guy immediately scrambled away from him, partially hiding behind Annabeth and putting his hand to his necklace.

"He's dead," Nico was confused, "It's literally my job to banish him. He's like from the second war, revived."

"No he's not," Annabeth looked a little guilty, "Magnus please explain to my friend here what you are."

The blond dude, Magnus, stepped forward, still looking a little nervous.

"Hi? I'm Magnus," He stretched out a hand for Nico who ignored it, "Umm, okay, I'm an einherjar, an immortal warrior of Odin. Annabeth's cousin."

"Odin?" Nico remembered hearing about Odin, something about Thor and the Avengers, "Like that superhero?"

Will snorted behind him, "Nico, Odin isn't a superhero. You're thinking about the Marvel movies, which I should probably get Jason to force you to watch now that I think about it, but he's the king of the Norse gods from what I remember."

Magnus nodded, "Yep, eternal warrior or whatever, I'm still new to this but I would not like to be banished."

Nico nodded along, still looking at the einhar-whatever cautiously.

"So this is the distant kin the prophecy was talking about Annabeth?" Will asked.

Annabeth nodded, "I only recently learned about Magnus's heritage, but when I heard distant kin my mind immediately went here."

Nico noticed that Will had walked closer to him for some reason, putting his arm around his waist. Will knew that Nico wasn't very touchy, so this was strange, but he let him. His boyfriend was weird.

Magnus's eyes widened when he saw this, Nico really hoped Annabeth's cousin wasn't homophobic, he didn't want to hate this guy.

"Anyway," Magnus gave a reluctant smile, "Let's go meet the guys from Floor 19, you guys'll love them."

Nico had a feeling like he wouldn't love them.
