Luciana's POV

July was boiling in Barcelona, with the sun beating down on the city in relentless waves. Even with the air conditioning cranked up in our apartment, I couldn't shake the heat that seemed to linger in the back of my mind. It had been two weeks since Pedri's wedding, and while I'd done my best to move on.

I glanced at my phone as I adjusted my FC Barcelona polo shirt. It was already past 7 AM, and I had a busy day ahead. I had to be at the training grounds to film content before the La Liga match against Atlético Madrid at Camp Nou. My role with the social media team had its perks, but it also meant early mornings and tight schedules.

Dante had already left for work, so I was on my own as I prepared to leave the apartment. I grabbed my bag and headed out, the familiar excitement of the day ahead mingling with a tinge of anxiety. It wasn't just the filming or the upcoming match that was on my mind—it was Pedri.

The training grounds were bustling with activity when I arrived. Players were warming up, coaches were shouting instructions, and the atmosphere was electric with anticipation for the upcoming match. I maneuvered through the crowd to our designated area, where Valeria and Mikky were already set up.

"Morning, Luciana!" Valeria called out as I approached, her eyes sparkling with her usual enthusiasm. She was already in the middle of setting up our filming equipment.

"Hey, Valeria. Mikky," I said, giving Mikky a quick hug. "How's everything going?"

Mikky, who was organizing the props for our shoot, smiled warmly. "All good here. Just trying to make sure we get everything perfect for the fans."

"Perfect as always," I said with a smile. "Let's hope today's shoot goes smoothly."

We got to work, capturing footage of the players' training sessions and capturing some behind-the-scenes moments. It was during the coffee break that I saw Pedri walking towards the sidelines. He looked exhausted, his usual bright smile replaced by a solemn expression. Despite just returning from his honeymoon, there was a noticeable gloom about him.

"Is it just me, or does Pedri look off today?" I asked Valeria and Mikky as we took a break, sipping on our coffee.

Valeria raised an eyebrow, glancing in the direction where Pedri was standing with a few teammates. "I noticed that too. He doesn't seem like himself."

Mikky frowned, her concern evident. "You'd think he'd be on cloud nine after a honeymoon. Maybe something happened while they were away?"

I nodded, taking a sip of my coffee. "It's possible. I just can't shake the feeling that something's wrong. He looked so gloomy, and he's been back for a few days now."

Valeria leaned in, her tone thoughtful. "Esther's always been a bit... well, let's just say she doesn't always come across as the most genuine person. Maybe something happened between them?"

Mikky sighed. "You're probably right. But we shouldn't jump to conclusions. It could be something personal or even just the stress of the upcoming season."

I frowned, not entirely convinced. "True, but it's hard not to worry. Pedri and I had our share of history, and seeing him like this brings up a lot of memories."

Valeria placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "I get it. It's not easy seeing someone you cared about go through tough times. But we should focus on the work we're here for. We'll have plenty of time to speculate later."

Mikky nodded in agreement. "And besides, if Pedri wants to talk about it, he will. For now, let's make sure we get the best content we can for the fans."
