Pedri's POV

Esther had been away on her modeling gig for a few weeks, and while I should have felt relieved for the break, the truth was that the absence of her presence left me with an unsettling mix of freedom and guilt. I found myself grappling with the complicated situation between Luciana and me, while simultaneously trying to navigate the growing rift in my marriage.

It was a Friday afternoon, and I had decided to take a step away from the chaos. I booked a hotel room on the outskirts of Barcelona, hoping to clear my head and find some semblance of peace. The plan was simple: get some time to myself, and when Luciana arrived, we could have a few hours of privacy away from prying eyes.

When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in and went up to the room. It was a modest suite with a comfortable bed, a small living area, and a balcony overlooking the city. I wanted everything to be perfect, though I was acutely aware of the ethical and emotional complexities of the situation.

I flopped onto the bed and stared at the ceiling, my thoughts a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Despite my efforts to stay focused on the positives, a part of me couldn't shake the feeling that I was living a double life. The weight of cheating on Esther and my own unresolved feelings for Luciana pressed heavily on me.

The knock on the door was a welcome distraction. I stood up and walked over, my heart racing a little. When I opened the door, I was greeted by Luciana, looking effortlessly beautiful in a pair of baggy jeans and a cream jumper. Her hair was styled in two French braids, and her makeup was minimal but flawless.

"Hey," she said, a soft smile on her lips.

"Hey," I replied, stepping aside to let her in. "You look great."

Luciana blushed slightly and walked in, looking around the room with curiosity. "This place is nice. It feels so... peaceful."

"I thought it might be a good spot for us to have some quiet time," I said, closing the door behind her. "Esther's away, so I figured we could have a few hours to ourselves."

Luciana nodded, her eyes meeting mine. "Dante's at his work office. He should be there for a while, so we're good."

I felt a wave of relief wash over me. "Perfect. Let's make the most of it."

We settled into the living area, and I put on a movie. Luciana sank into the couch, and I joined her, our proximity both comforting and electrifying. As the movie played, we ordered room service, and the casual conversation flowed easily between us.

"So, how's work been?" I asked, trying to keep things light.

"It's been good," Luciana replied. "Busy, but good. It's nice to have a change of pace from being on the track all the time."

"Yeah, I imagine," I said, nodding. "It must be quite a shift."

"It is," she agreed, taking a sip of her drink. "But it's been a good change. I'm enjoying working with the social media team. It's different from what I'm used to, but it's refreshing."

I watched her, captivated by her natural beauty and the way she spoke about her new role. It was easy to see how passionate she was about it, and it made me admire her even more.

As the evening wore on, the atmosphere between us grew more relaxed. The movie played in the background, but neither of us was paying much attention to it. Instead, we found ourselves drawn closer together, our conversation taking on a more intimate tone.

"I'm really glad we did this," Luciana said softly, her gaze meeting mine. "It feels nice to just be here with you."

I reached out and took her hand, feeling the warmth of her skin against mine. "Me too. I've missed this... us."
