Luciana's POV
The Allianz Stadium buzzed with excitement as fans filled the stands. It was a crucial Champions League match, and the atmosphere was electric. I stood beside Valeria, adjusting the camera settings for our social media content. The Barça team was warming up on one side of the pitch, while Juventus did the same on the other. My eyes scanned the field, lingering for a moment on Pedri. He was starting today, and seeing him out there made me feel proud. We had become closer lately, but things were still complicated.
Valeria nudged me with her elbow, bringing me back to the moment. "You're staring at Pedri again," she teased, a smirk playing on her lips.
I rolled my eyes, "I was just... making sure the lighting's right for the video."
"Sure, sure," Valeria replied, her grin widening. "You're still hung up on him."
Before I could respond, something—or rather, someone—caught my eye from the Juventus side. Kenan, was warming up with his teammates. Our brief encounter the day before still played in the back of my mind. There was something about him—his confidence, his easy smile—that drew me in.
As if sensing my gaze, Kenan looked up and met my eyes. And then, to my surprise, he winked. It was subtle, but it sent a jolt through me. He smirked, his expression a mixture of playful arrogance and genuine charm.
Valeria noticed immediately. "Oh my God, did he just wink at you?"
I tried to laugh it off, but my heart raced a little. "It's nothing, Val."
"Nothing?" she raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "He's totally into you. I mean, come on, you don't just wink at someone like that for no reason. Plus he's extremely attractive."
"I don't know..." I trailed off, unsure of what to think. On one hand, there was Pedri—familiar, comfortable, and still very much part of my life. On the other hand, there was Kenan—exciting, new, and undeniably attractive.
Before we could discuss it any further, the referee blew the whistle. I quickly focused back on the task at hand, filming the opening moments for the team's Instagram account.
The first half passed in a blur. Ansu scored a goal for Barça, but Kenan, who had been subbed in around the 34th minute, quickly responded with a goal of his own. The scoreboard showed 1-1 as the players headed into the locker rooms for halftime.
As the team disappeared into the tunnel, Valeria turned to me. "So, you gonna talk to him after the game? Kenan, I mean."
I shook my head, not sure what to say. "I don't even know if I'll get the chance. And besides, it's not like that."
Valeria wasn't buying it. "Oh, come on. You don't accidentally bump into a guy, exchange flirty glances, and then just let it go. There's definitely something there."
"I don't know, Val. Pedri and I are... getting closer again. I don't want to mess things up."
Valeria shrugged. "Doesn't mean you can't have fun. Just see where things go. Besides, you've been doing so much to work on yourself. Maybe meeting someone new is exactly what you need."
I didn't have time to respond, as the players returned to the field for the second half. I couldn't deny the butterflies in my stomach every time Kenan glanced my way, even if I tried to ignore it. It was hard to focus, though. Pedri was playing his heart out, and I felt torn watching him.
The second half was intense. Gavi scored another goal for Barcelona, but a Juventus winger soon equalized. By the 80th minute, it was still tied 2-2, and both teams were pushing hard to break the tie.
